Tired of damaging the delicate skin around your eyes with wax?You can use thread to remove eyebrow hair. You can use a few supplies.Make sure you prepare your eyebrows correctly so that threading is easy. You can have beautiful, well shaped eyebrows with the right approach.
Step 1: The sewing thread is needed.
You will need high-cotton sewing thread to thread your eyebrows.Measure out a piece of thread that is at least three inches long.It should be at least 14 inches or 35 cm long. The eyebrow hairs do not snap off between the thread if you use high-cotton sewing thread.Synthetic thread doesn't grip hair as well as high-cotton thread.threading is best done with thread.Floss and string won't be as effective as thread.
Step 2: Look for small eyebrow scissors.
You can trim your eyebrows with the eyebrow scissors. You can use sewing scissors or hair shears. You want scissors that are sharp enough to get at the hairs and small to trim your brows.
Step 3: Get a brush.
The threading will be done with the help of the brush on your brows.A fine toothed hair comb can be used. You don't want to get dirt orbacteria in your brows before you thread them, so make sure the brush or comb is clean.
Step 4: Look for an eyebrow pencil.
The pencil will be used to draw the shape of your eyebrows. As you thread your eyebrows, this will help guide you.Go for an eyebrow pencil that is the same shade as your brows. If you want to get rid of the outline after threading your eyebrows, you need to make sure the eyebrow pencil washes off with water or makeup removal.
Step 5: Get an ice pack or gel.
You can use the ice pack to soothe your brows after threading them. The ice pack will help with any redness that develops due to threading. You can use a bottle or ice pack wrapped in a towel.
Step 6: Stand in front of the mirror.
To prepare your eyebrows for threading, sit in front of a mirror with your supplies spread out before you on a table. You can see your eyebrows in the mirror if the room has good lighting. It will be easier to thread your brows with this. The use of a magnifying mirror can lead to over threading.A good mirror is a standard one.
Step 7: You need to trim your eyebrows.
You can sweep your eyebrow hair with the eyebrow brush.Hold one section in place with the comb.To trim a small amount of tall hairs that stick out from the comb, use the small eyebrow scissors.Hold your eyebrow hair in place by sweeping it downward with the comb.Cut any long hair with the scissors.Make sure you don't trim too much of the hairs. It is easier to thread your brows if you remove long strands of hair.If you repeat these motions on the other eyebrow, both eyebrows will be trimmed. When you are done trimming the hair, put it back in place. They should be clean and groomed.
Step 8: You can use the eyebrow pencil to draw out the shape you want.
Take the eyebrow pencil and draw out your desired eyebrow shape after you have trimmed your eyebrows. If you want to have full, clean looking brows, you may draw out a thicker arch and a higher brow line so you can follow the outline when you thread.Draw outward from the inside of your brow. The outline for each brow should be even and symmetrical. You can modify the outline based on your eyebrow shape. You may not draw a thinner arch outline if you have thin arches to your eyebrows. You can draw a thinner arch outline if you have a lot of hair around your eyebrow arches.
Step 9: Take the thread and tie it together.
Make sure the thread is long by holding it against your forearm. To form a loop, tie the two ends together. The thread needs to be tightly tied together. You have a clean loop of thread if you trim off loose ends.
Step 10: The loop can be twisted four to five times.
With your thumb and forefinger, hold the end of the loop. The other end should be motionless between your thumb and forefinger.Hold one end of the loop with your thumb and forefinger and twist it four to five times. You should have a twisted section in the middle of the loop with a loop taunt between your thumb and forefinger. It will look like a bow tie.
Step 11: Practice closing one hand and opening the other.
Practice threading your eyebrows with your hands.Put your thumb and forefinger in the loop to open one hand.Close the other hand first. As you increase and decrease the distance between your thumbs and forefinger, the loop's center twist should move back and forth. The twisting motion will be used to remove eyebrow hairs. You might need to practice this motion several times. You can try to make a shorter loop if you find it hard to control.A shorter thread loop is easier to manipulate. You can use your other fingers to control the loop.To get the hang of manipulating the twisted center of the loop, you can use the middle finger and ring finger of your dominant hand, along with your thumb and forefinger.
Step 12: The twisted center is over your eyebrow.
Make sure the twisted center of your eyebrow is over the hairs you want to remove.Your fingers should be in the loop with your thumb on one end and your forefinger on the other end.
Step 13: The twisted center can be controlled by close the hand.
Open your other hand as you do this.Slowly and firmly, slide the twisted center against your skin.As you open and close your hands, the corners of the twisted center will grab your hairs. It's a good idea to thread your eyebrow hairs in different directions. This will make it easy for the hair to come out and reduce the risk of ingrown hairs. If you press the twisted center too deep into your skin you can cause irritation and pain.To remove the hairs, glide the twisted center across your skin.
Step 14: Continue to thread the hairs.
Once you finish one stroke and remove a section of hair, place the twisted center back to the starting position and do another stroke.Make sure you move the thread in the opposite direction of the hair's growth and remove any hair between your eyebrows.Depending on how quickly you glide the twisted center over the hair, you can remove a small amount or a large amount. You can start with a slow glide until you get used to the movements.
Step 15: Put an ice pack on your eyebrows.
If you finish threading both eyebrows, you may have redness or irritation on your skin.Take a towel and wrap it around your brows to soothe them. After about an hour, the redness around your eyebrows should go away. After an hour, you should check your eyebrows for stray hairs. The threading can be used to remove stray hairs. You can use an eyebrow pencil to fill in any gaps in your eyebrows.
