Diaries are a good way to express yourself. They are a place where you can write down the secrets you don't want your friends or family to know.Your parents may be interested in what you write in your diary, but they don't want to hear about it.It is a normal feeling. You can hide it in your room, keep an online diary, or attempt to protect it.
Step 1: You can put it under your mattress.
If you think the diary will be turned over or replaced soon, don't put it under the mattress. You can slide it under your mattress if you don't think it will be handled soon.Place your mattress under the center of it to make it even more hidden. When you leave the house, make sure your bed is made. It's a good idea to hide your mattress.
Step 2: You can put it in your pillowcase.
When you are done using the diary, put it in your pillowcase. It should be in the part of the pillowcase that touches the bed.The shape of the diary will be exposed if it is placed in the front of a pillowcase. It's important to remove it when your pillowcases need to be washed. If you sleep with more than one pillowcase, you can put it in the one you don't use.
Step 3: It's best to put it in your closet.
Clothes, shoes, and other items can be found in closets. It's a good place to hide your diary.Camouflage can be achieved by the extra stuff in your closet.Put it in an old bag, like a backpack, inside of a jacket, or in between some other things that aren't used often or not used at all.Don't put it near things you use a lot because your parents are more likely to go into your closet to get those things.
Step 4: It should be put in between books.
Put your diary in between two books if you have a bookcase filled with at least one row of books.Between the two larger books, wedge it.This will prevent you from seeing the spine of your diary. If you have a diary that looks like a book, this is ideal. If the bookshelf is in your room, put your diary between books. It's more likely to be found in a shared bookshelf.
Step 5: The picture frame is behind it.
First, your parents will look through your drawers and closet. There is a less obvious place to look at a picture frame. The picture frame should be larger than your diary.Look for a frame that has a stand at the bottom or the corners. The diary is behind the frame. If there is not enough space between the back of the frame and the wall, a picture frame won't work.
Step 6: You can choose to use an online journal website.
If you want to prevent your diary from being found, you should not keep it in physical form. There are many options for online journals on the internet.LiveJournal, OhLife, Penzu, and Tumblr are some of the options.Pick a website that you feel most comfortable using.Word can be used if you can't sign up for a website. You can hide the document in a folder or password protect it.You can use a journaling app on your phone. You can download the apps on your phone. There is a minimum age for signing up on some websites. If you are under thirteen years old, you may have to talk to your parents.
Step 7: A strong password is needed.
Don't make a password that is difficult to remember.Don't create a password that contains your name, birthdate, favorite band, or your pet's name.Think of a password that is hard to guess. To be extra cryptic, choose a random assortment of letters and numbers. If you choose a website, make sure your password isn't automatically saved on the log in page. The password can be written on a small sheet of paper. You can keep it with you or hide it.It is not a good idea to write down what it is used for.
Step 8: If you want to make up an unusual name, you have to do it.
They can be looked up on websites. If you want to prevent being found, choose a usernames that has nothing to do with your name, age, or favorite interests. No one would suspect something like that.It should not be something your parents would think of as offensive. If you have to include numbers, use random numbers.
Step 9: It's time to downsize.
If your browser history shows it, it will be easy to find your website. The entire history should not be deleted if you are using a shared computer.Only the journal website should be deleted. If you are using a personal computer, get rid of your browser history. You can remove browser history by going to whichever browser you are using. It might say something like "Firefox, Chrome, or Safari".Then, click on it, go to history, and hit "Clear browsing data, or "Delete browsing history." It's also an option to use a private browsing window.Your history is not saved by a private browsing window. You can choose to have a private browsing session near the menu where your history is located.Set up a password to get into your computer if it isn't against your parents' rules.
Step 10: Do not tell anyone about your diary.
Try not to tell your friends, siblings, or cousins about your diary. If people know about your website, it's more likely to get out.If you have to tell someone, try to say it in a way that doesn't involve text, email, or social media.
Step 11: A decoy diary is set up.
You can put a fake diary on your dresser. You will not use this diary to write your real entries in.Write some fake entries. You don't have to go into detail.Simple and short entries can be entered. If you find someone reading your diary, act surprised or annoyed.
Step 12: Put it in a safe.
Purchase a box large enough to hold your diary. The lock on the box needs to be opened with a key or combination. If you can't go to the store with your parents, you may have to ask someone to buy it for you.You can put it under your bed or in a closet if you want to.You can get a diary with a lock and key. It's a good idea to hide the key from the diary. You can keep it in your pocket or purse.
Step 13: There is a blank page.
Don't start a new diary on the first page.Write on the third or fourth page of the diary.A person will think the diary hasn't been used yet unless they flip the page a couple of times.A message can be written on the first page.A message asking the person to not read the diary can be a warning message.
Step 14: Write in code.
You can use a code for your journal. It will take a lot of effort to figure out what has been written if your parents find it.The Pigpen cipher is one of the most common codes to use.Pigpen ciphers are based on a grid design. You can write in another language if your parents don't know it.You should not keep a guide to the code near your diary.
Step 15: There is a thin string around your diary.
There is a string that won't be noticed. There is a thin piece of thread.A strand of hair will work.Wrap it around the diary. You can wrap it around the lock.If the string has moved or broken, you will know that someone has tried to open the diary.A small object, like a pebble, can be placed on top of the diary.
