The letters in the alphabet are formed with one-handed signals.It is easy to learn.You can use fingerspelling to spell out words you don't know.It's best to practice one chunk of the alphabet at a time.Practice until you can fingerspell the whole alphabet.
Step 1: It's good to keep good form.
Only with your dominant hand can you Fingerspell.Unless specifically stated, always sign letters with your palm facing away from you.To ensure your letters are not sloppy, don't rush to catch up.If there are two letters in the signed letter, don't bounce your hand between them.The letter can be dragged slightly to the side.
Step 2: A fist is made with your thumb pointing up.
With your palm facing forward, hold your hand in front of you.Close your fingers in a fist, but keep your thumb pressed against the side of your hand.This is the letter A.
Step 3: With your thumb across your palm, hold your fingers together.
If you extend your fingers, they will be straight.They should be touching on the sides.Put your thumb across the front of your palm.This is the letter B.
Step 4: Curl your hand into a shape.
The palm of your hand should be facing left when you turn your right hand.Hold your hand still as you curl your fingers and thumb to form a half circle.The letter is C.
Step 5: To make a D, touch your fingertips to your thumb.
The tip of your thumb should be touching your index finger.Straight up, point your index finger.With your palm facing forward, hold your hand still.The letter is D.
Step 6: Make an "E" by writing the letter "B" down.
To meet your thumb, bend all four fingers down.The thumb should be pressed against the tips of your fingers.Keep your fingers and thumb close to your palm.It could look like an "O" or "C."
Step 7: Press your thumb and index finger together.
Keep your fingers straight.The letter is F.
Step 8: Turn your hand to the side to make a G.
To make a fist, put your fingers in your palm.If you want to rest your thumb against your middle finger, extend your index finger.If you keep your thumb from your palm, it will be parallel to your index finger.If you angle your hand so that your palm is facing you, your index finger will point to your left.The letter is G.
Step 9: Put your middle and index fingers together.
Keep your hand in the same position as it was for the letter G, but extend your middle finger.Place your middle finger next to your index finger.If you angle your hand so that your palm is facing you, your index and middle fingers will point to your left.This is the letter H.
Step 10: Make an I by pointing your pinkie straight up.
To poke your pinkie finger straight up, form a fist.The letter is I.
Step 11: You can draw the shape of a "J" with your pinkie.
If you want to create multiple Js or just one letter J, you have to do this multiple times.As you do this, keep your palm away from you.
Step 12: The index and middle fingers should be pointed at.
Press your ring finger against your palm.Then, press your thumb against your palm so that the tip of the thumb is between your index and middle finger.This is a letter.
Step 13: Use your thumb and index finger to make an L.
As you form an L-shape with your index finger and thumb, press your middle, ring, and pinkie fingers against your palm.This is the letter L.
Step 14: Hold a ball and poke your thumb through it.
If you want to Curl your fingers down towards your palm, use your thumb between your index and middle fingers.You are wrapping your fingers around a ball.You should poke your thumb between your ring and finger.This is how you make something.
Step 15: Your thumb should be between your ring finger.
Curl your fingers as if they are holding a ball.Push the tip of your thumb between your ring and middle fingers.This is a letter.
Step 16: You can make an "O" with your hands.
Press the thumb and fingers together.Some people may turn their hand to show the "O" formed by the fingers to differentiate it from "E".
Step 17: Press your thumb against your middle finger.

Step 22: Point your middle and index fingers in the same direction.

Step 23: Make a "U" and separate your fingers.
Spread your fingers apart with your hand in the U position.Make sure to keep your ring finger, pinkie, and thumb pressed against your palm when writing the letter V.
Step 24: Spread the fingers apart to form W.
You can use your thumb to press your pinkie finger.Put your index, middle, and ring fingers together so that they look like the letter W.
Step 25: Make a fist, then raise and crook your finger.
Wrap your middle, ring, and pinkie fingers around your thumb as you press it against your palm.Curl your finger.The letter is X.
Step 26: Put out your pinkie and thumb.
Press your other fingers against your palm.This is the letter Y.
