If someone in the family has an upset stomach, making a mint tea from scratch is a good idea.It can be as simple as mint and hot water, or as fancy as you like.Mint tea can be served hot for a refreshing drink in winter or chilled in the summer. The prep time was 5 minutes and the cook time 5-10 minutes.
Step 1: The water should beboiled.
In a kettle, over a fire, in a pot on the stove, or in the microwave, you can boil water. To conserve water, energy, time, and money, only boil as much water as you use.
Step 2: The mint leaves should be washed and torn.
To remove dirt, bugs, and soil from the leaves, rinse them.To give your tea a stronger flavor, tear the leaves. You can use a variety of mint leaves.
Step 3: Prepare the leaves
The mint leaves can be used to make a tea ball, a teapot, or a coffee filter.
Step 4: The leaves will absorb the boiling water.
Mint is hardy, you can pour boiling water over the leaves, and some teas should be done at different temperatures.
Step 5: Take the tea out.
If you want a stronger tea, steep it for 10 minutes.Once your tea is strong, you can either take a taste or smell it.The tea will get stronger if you leave the leaves in.If you didn't use a tea ball or a special pot, you'll need a strainer to remove the loose leaves.Push the plunger down if you are using a French press.
Step 6: add more ingredients
If you want, you can add honey or lemon before you drink your tea.
Step 7: Your mint tea should be made.
You can make hot mint tea using the ratio.Place the mint leaves in a bowl and pour the boiling water over them.Allow to steep. To make a single serving, use the same mint–water ratio and method as you would for a mug of hot mint tea.
Step 8: Stir in lemon and sweetener.
Make sure you don't get any seeds in the tea by squeezing the lemon juice into it.If you want sweet tea, add your sweetener of choice. To break down the sugar particles, stir vigorously.Agave nectar can be used as a liquid sweetener and honey substitute.
Step 9: The tea should be kept cool to the room temperature.
After it is cool, strain the tea into a pitcher and discard the used mint leaves.Wait until it is cold.
Step 10: It's a good idea to serve it with cucumber.
When the tea is ready to be served, fill your glasses with ice.Add a few slices of cucumber to each glass.Enjoy the tea.
Step 11: The tea leaves should be washed.
Add a cup of boiling water to the teapot with green tea.To warm the pot, swirl the water. The tea leaves should be left in the teapot.
Step 12: Put the tea in a container.
To steep the tea, add four cups of boiling water to the teapot.
Step 13: Mint and sugar are added.
For an additional four minutes, or to taste, serve.
Step 14: Mint leaves can be frozen in ice cube trays.
Mint can be preserved for later use.If you want to freeze your mint, place two washed mint leaves in each basin of an ice cube tray. They should be filled with water. When you are ready to use the mint, freeze them.Remove the mint cubes from the tray and put them in a plastic bag in the freezer. You have your ice cube tray back!Pull the ice cubes out of the freezer and place them in a bowl to thaw when you need them. When the ice thaws, drain the water and pat the mint dry.
Step 15: Mint should be dried.
It is possible to put dried mint into the cups for single-serve coffee machines.Take fresh mint and bundle it with elastic bands.Once the leaves are dry and brittle, hang them upside down.Mint can take anywhere from a few days to a couple of weeks to dry, depending on the climate. The quicker the process is, the less time it will take.Place the leaves in a bag or between sheets of wax paper to break them up.Store in a jar.
