The hottest new craze is loom bands. The accessories are made from rubber bands. You don't need a loom to make fun crafts with loom bands. There are several loom bands designs that you can make with your fingers. You should get yourself some loom bands.
Step 1: Take your materials.
Take the number of bands you need into account. You will need around 20 for a child's bracelet and 30 for an adult. You can usually find a C-clip in the same aisle as the loom bands. The clips can be included when you purchase the loom bands.Make sure you have everything you need. You can make a striped bracelet by alternating between two colors, or a rainbow pattern by using a mix of colors.
Step 2: A circle can be formed by folding one band into a figure "8".
The C-clip has a circle inside it.This is the beginning of your bracelet. This band will be called #1.
Step 3: You need to pinch one band between your fingers.
You made a circle in Step 2.Pull the ends together.
Step 4: Pinch another band and slide it through the loops formed by band #2.
If you don't hold the ends of band #2 together, the chain will come undone. In the previous step, band #2 was part of the chain, and now band #3 is the same.
Step 5: When the bracelet is long enough, repeat the pinch and slide.
Pull tightly when you slip one loop of the final band through the other loop.If you don't know if your bracelet is long enough, wrap it around your other wrist.Make sure it's not tight. It's a good idea to wear a bracelet that is too tight.
Step 6: Take your materials.
Take the number of bands you need into account. You'll need around 30 bands for a child's bracelet and 40 for an adults' bracelet, because this bracelet is a little thicker than the basic bracelet. You will need one of the two clips. If you don't want to work on your fingers, you can use unsharpened pencils, knitting needles, or even chopsticks to hold the bands.Use your dominant hand and hold the pencils in your non-dominant hand.Using more than one.The fishtail design will look better with colors of bands.
Step 7: Wrap a loom band around your fingers.
To create an "8" shape, twist it in the middle.Don't stretch the bands too much.If they are too stretched, they might snap.
Step 8: Wrap the loom bands around your fingers.
Place the bands on top of the first one.You won't make any more changes to the bands. If you're using two or more colors, make sure to alternate the colors of the bands as you wrap them.
Step 9: Pull the bottom loom band over the top band with your middle finger.
Bring it to the middle of the bands.Pull the bottom loom band on your index finger.Bring it to the middle.
Step 10: The band in the middle should be put into the clip.
As you work, this will help keep your bracelet from coming undone.
Step 11: Wrap a loom band around your hand.
Step 4 is repeated.Continue adding bands and repeating Step 4 until you get the size you want.
Step 12: The last band should be put into the other side of the clip.
This will end the loop. The fishtail bracelet is beautiful. You can modify this method to make a ring or necklace, just weave fewer or more bands until it's the length you want and then connect the ends with a plastic clip.
Step 13: You should gather your materials.
You will need loom bands in 3 different colors, a C-clip or S-Clip, and two pencils. You will need between 40 and 50 bands for a child's bracelet and 70 to 70 for an adults' bracelet, because this bracelet is a lot chunkier than the previous two.As many as you need.
Step 14: There are three bands around the pencils.
The same color is used for all three bands. This is different from the fishtail bracelet because you can twist all three bands. These are the group #1.
Step 15: Wrap three bands around the pencils.
Don't change these bands. You can loop them around the pencils. We'll call them group #2.
Step 16: The bottom three bands should be over the left pencil.
For the right pencil, repeat. The first three bands should be looped around the middle of the second three.
Step 17: Wrap the bands around the pencils.
Don't twist these bands, just wrap them around the pencils. We'll call them group #3.
Step 18: The bottom three bands should be over the left pencil.
For the right pencil, repeat. The group #2 bands should now be in the middle of the group #3 bands.
Step 19: You should repeat steps 3 and 4.
You should alternate your colors.Wrap the groups of bands around the pencils and put the bottom bands over them.Continue until you want the bracelet.
Step 20: The bottom end of the bracelet is where you started.
There are two loops at the top of the bracelet.Carefully remove the loops from the pencils.Take your time.Pulling too quickly could cause the bracelet to come undone.
Step 21: Wrap one loop around your thumb.
Pull the other loop to stretch the bands. Then go through the other loop.At the end of the bracelet, you should have a slipknot. It's important to slip all three bands through the loop.
Step 22: Attach the last loop to the clip.
Your bracelet will be ready to wear when this is completed.
Step 23: You should gather your materials.
You will need at least two colors of loom bands, a plastic S-clip, four tines, and a pencil or chopstick.Anything long, skinny, and pointed will work.Take your time, this pattern is more complicated than others.
Step 24: There is a loom band around the first tine of the fork.
The fork should be facing you.Pull the band back, twist it, and slide it over the second tine.Continue twisting and pulling over the remaining tines. The band should put two "8"s on the fork.
Step 25: Step 2 should be repeated.
Depending on the thickness of the stripes in the pattern, you can use a different color or the same.
Step 26: The pencil should be put under the front of the band.
Pull it up over the fork tine.It should form a loop at the back of the fork after crossing the top band.
Step 27: The pencil should be put under the bottom band on the second tine.
Pull it up over the fork tine. The final two loops are repeated.
Step 28: Step 2 should be repeated.
You should have a row of "8"s on the fork again.Pull the bottom band from the front up and over the fork using the pencil in Steps 4 and 5.
Step 29: You have to repeat steps 2 through 5.
Continue in the pattern, alternating between rows of loops and pulling the bottom band over the fork tines. As much as possible, create rows to make the bracelet you want.Give the back of the bracelet a tug once you've finished several rows. This will help keep the pattern in place.
Step 30: Attach the end of the plastic clip to the loops.
You should see two open loops when you pull the bracelet behind the fork. One end of the S-clip can be moved through the loops.
Step 31: The loops are off the fork.
If you slide up, make sure to pinch them at the bottom so you don't lose them. The other end of the S-clip has four loops.Your bracelet is done!Take your time. The bracelet could be unraveling if you slide the loops off too quickly.
Step 32: Take your materials.
You will need an assortment of loom bands, a plastic C-clip, and a little patience. It will take more time to make this project because it is longer than bracelets.
Step 33: Wrap your thumb and index finger.
Don't twist them. The bands should stretch a little if you hold your thumb and index finger.
Step 34: Wrap a band in a different color around the middle of it.
Pull the band through the loop at the other end to form a slipknot.
Step 35: To form a circle, hold the loops from the first two bands together.
A circle made of four loops is what you should have. The loops have two more bands through them. You have to slide these new bands through all four loops.
Step 36: Step 4 is repeated.
Continue to form circles with your bands. The chain will start to form. The necklace should be as long as you want it.You can change the number of bands you use for your necklace depending on how thin the link is.
Step 37: Put the ends of the necklace in the clip.
You have a finished necklace.
