You don't have a grinder and you're ready to pack a bowl or roll a joint. No worries, that's all!You don't have to use things you already have around the house to break up your weed.If you want to get back to smoking, try one of the alternatives.
Step 1: Put your marijuana buds in a glass.
You can fill a clean drinking glass with weed. You can use either dry or sticky weed.Make sure the weed is tightly packed so you can easily cut it.If you have a lot of weed, chop it up in batches.
Step 2: A pair of scissors should be inserted into the glass.
A pair of scissors is all you need to chop the weed. You can wash the scissors with soap and warm water. Then, use the scissors to cut the weed buds.It is okay to use a small pair of scissors if you are using a shot glass.
Step 3: Put the buds in small pieces.
To chop up the weed, simply open and close the scissors. You can make it easier to cut the weed by rotating the cup.Keep cutting until you get the buds you want.To expose large pieces that still need to be cut, stir the weed with the end of your scissors.
Step 4: There is an empty pill bottle.
An old pill bottle can be washed with soap and water. The container should be filled about 1/3 of the way full.Pack the weed in a way that the coin can break it up.It works best with dry weed, but it can also grind up sticky weeds.
Step 5: A clean penny or dime can be dropped into the bottle.
A penny or a dime is a great coin to use.If you want to push the coin into the weed, put it on the top layer. You don't need to worry about where the coin is because it will move around as you shake it.If you want to wash your coin, you can use alcohol, wine, or vinegar.Germs can get on your weed.
Step 6: The pill bottle has a lid.
Make sure the bottle is tight by putting the lid back on it.The weed will fall out if you shake the container.Don't shake the weed without the lid.Push the lid down onto the container if it presses over the bottle.
Step 7: For 1-2 minutes, shake the pill bottle.
You can time yourself by setting a timer or watching the clock.Shake the pill bottle vigorously when you hold it in your hand. The coin will cut and grind the buds as you shake it.The same motion would be used to shake a maraca.
Step 8: If you want the weed to be your desired size, check it out.
After 1-2 minutes of shaking the pill bottle, open the container and check to see if your weed is small enough to use.If it is, shake the bottle for another 1-2 minutes and put the lid back on.Continue shaking it until you are happy with the size of the pieces.Depending on how thick your weed is, it can take a while to get your desired size.Shake the container for at least 5 minutes. It is a great option for every day grinding because it is safe and effective.
Step 9: The weed should be placed into a coffee bean grinder.
You can use any type of grinder. The weed should be added to the fill line.Pack it in a way that it is easier to chop it up.Put the lid on the grinder.A coffee grinder is great for grinding up a lot of weed at the same time.It is best to use dry weed because it is easier to clean up.It can get mixed into your coffee beans if you don't get all the weed out of the grinder.
Step 10: For 5 seconds, turn on the coffee grinder.
The coffee grinder should be plugged in if it uses electricity.Press the "on" or "grind" button to turn on the grinder. Then turn off the grinder. You can use an analogue clock or watch to time the grinder.
Step 11: Continue grinding until you like the size of the weed.
If the pieces are small, open the grinder.Continue to grind your weed for up to 5 seconds at a time until you're happy with the size of the pieces.Don't accidentally grind it too finely if you check it frequently. It is recommended that you clean your coffee grinder after you grind the weed.
Step 12: Put the marijuana buds on the chopping board.
The plastic chopping board is easier to clean. If you want to reduce the risk of cutting yourself, start with a small amount of weed. The weed should be in the center of the chopping board. If the weed is dry, it's best to use this method.
Step 13: Chop the buds with a clean, non-serrated knife.
Use a chef's grade knife if you have one.If you want to slice through the weed, hold the knife blade over it.Lift your blade and slice into the weed again.Continue until you reach the other end.If you think the pieces are too large, you can use the cutting board to slice the weed in the other direction.Make a second attempt to cut it into smaller pieces.Any knife can be used to cut the weed.A non-serrated knife is the best for sticky weed.
Step 14: Chop slowly so you don't cut yourself.
You could get cut if you hold the weed in place with your hand.If you want to slowly chop the weed, place your knife and hand over it.You should be able to cut the weed without it moving.Cut up your weed in a similar fashion to how you would chop up garlic or herbs.
Step 15: Before using a mortar and pestle, make sure your weed is dry.
If you use a mortar and pestle, dried weed is easier to grind. Before you grind it, make sure your weed is dry and not sticky.Place it in the freezer for half an hour before you grind it.The method works best for small amounts. It is a traditional way to grind up herbs.
Step 16: The weed should be inside the mortar.
The bowl that holds your herbs is called the mortar, and the pestle is used to grind them up.There is room for the weed to shift around if you fill the mortar halfway.Pack it in a way that it is easier to grind. To get 1 joint at a time, it's best to grind just enough. You should grind your weed in smaller batches if you're grinding more.
Step 17: The weed can be grinded into smaller pieces with the pestle.
You can grind herbs in a mortar with the pestle. If you want to manually grind the weed, push the pestle down.If you want to grind the weed, move the pestle around the bowl. When you are happy with the size of your pieces, stop grinding. As you grind the weed, use a firm pressure.
