The education level required to apply for many product manager positions is a bachelor's degree in business or a related field. Product manager degrees should include coursework in communications, marketing, economics, public relations, statistics, advertising and management.
Does a product manager need to be technical?
You don't need to have a technical background to be a great product manager. In fact, in the majority of cases - unless you have a very technical product used by a technical customer - being technical can make you a WORSE product manager.
