What is the possible cause of the 'Check AWD system'? What does it mean if the message center says "check awd"?
What happened to the Toyota Highlander when it turned on the check engine and checked the awd system?
I have a SE that did the same thing.I no longer have the ability to use my cruise control. It didn't show up the next day.The next day it came back on.It behaves itself after a mile from the dealer. The dealer can't find any codes.I took a video and pictures as proof.I would really like to have my vehicle fixed, but I can't until it decides to do this again. That would be great if someone could help.
I have had my vehicle in for repairs and spent 3 nights in a hotel. The problem came back after driving away from the dealer. We are waiting on a call to find out what the next step is, but the alarm stays on for days at a time.
There is a possibility that the fuel cap is not closed tight. The electrical system will be disrupted if you hook up a battery charge to theusb.
Both of my cars did the same thing.I was going to have it serviced the next night. It didn't have the problem again.
The problem is the same: the Highlander is over 30K miles.Over the course of several weeks, the Check engine, Check AWD and Visit Dealer messages all changed.Messages need to be active to diagnose.Close by Dealer2 when it happened again. The dealer said that the light always leaves history.Toyota covered a partial engine rebuild, drive axle replacement, and rental car under a 60 month Power Train warranty.
The Toyota Highlander is garbage.I don't like it.Too much problems, check the engine and fuel injection system. My vehicle is a car.
When starting the Toyota Highlander, it is recommended to visit your dealer and check the system.John spoke to Sunrise Toyota North on Long Island and said that the gas cap was tight. Will go on a road trip from NY to Fla with follow up after appointment.
There is an update on the Toyota Highlander with 36000 miles and a Check engine.I went in for a diagnostic and was told I had gotten some contaminated gas.I got my gas from the store.A fuel injection cleaning is recommended for a couple of hundred dollars.I had a synthetic oil coupon at the oil change. There was a total bill for diagnostic and oil change.Advanced auto bought a bottle of ISO heat + injection cleaner under $5 and was told it would read code errors for free if they came on again. When light says visit dealer find local part store or garage and have code read, don't rush to dealer. If a bottle of ISo-beet did the trick, I will update.
I read that the fuel cap was not tight.I walked into my garage and found what the problem was.The check engine and check lights were on.The dash is back to normal after I disconnected the battery.
I went to the dealership today and they told me that it is the contaminated gasoline that I put in my car 3 years ago, and I told them why.I think the awd system is a problem with the transmission.
The other problem is that one day before that appeared, I began to feel a blow to the transmission when I start to slow down 40 miles of my car or that is not normal and then the next day turns on all these alerts, plus the toyota He sent me a call saying that my
Since the tank was low on gas, the air could have entered the system and it will take 1-2 days before the warning lights turn off.The CEL is not flashing and that is a good sign.
I used a can of mass air flow cleaner from Walmart to reset the code and it seems to be working now. There were two little holes on top.The engine seems to be running smoothly. You can get your codes read for free at Autozone if you run about four tanks of shell top grade gas.
When starting the Toyota Highlander, it is recommended to visit your dealer and check the system. The gas cap wasn't on.Check the fee before you pay it.
The person gave a tip about the gas cap.I checked and it wasn't tight. The dealership told me that the light will stay on until it can retest itself, so I called to inquire further. If it's still on after 100 miles, they can check to make sure it isn't anything else.I asked if there was concern that I couldn't drive it safely for 100 miles and was told if the check engine light was on, it was probably the gas cap.Hope this helps!
I have a vehicle.I had to jump start my car from a dead battery after I got the check engine light.I used the diagnostic tool at Auto Zone to reset the warning light. If it happens again, I'll keep an eye on it, but I think it's good for now.I used an injector cleaner for good measure.
I followed the simplest suggestion in the thread and put the gas cap back on.Thanks.
What happened to the Toyota Highlander when it turned on the check engine and checked the awd system?
The check engine light on my '19 Highlander came on.I only have 2,000 miles on it.Has anyone had this happen?I haven't driven it enough.
The battery died when kids left the tailgate open. The car started after the battery was replaced but the VCS system was off and the engine lights were not on.It was realized pretty quickly after taking it for a spin.
The car is 13K miles. The warning continued. Will I be able to drive from FL to NJ until I get it serviced?
