What is the difference between G30 and G40 coolant?
What is the difference between G30 and G40 coolant?
G30 is OAT, G40 is SiOAT. From what i can gather, SiOAT is compatible with OAT (thus one presumes the inverse is true!). I believe the danger when topping up is mixing an OAT based coolant with the older non-OAT based stuff = jelling of the coolants.
What color is zerex G40 coolant?
Specs. It is dyed pink to distinguish its unique chemistry from traditional green and yellow coolants.
Is zerex G40 the same as G12?
G40 is an equivalent coolant to G12 Plus Plus. Whether you run G12, or G12 Plus, or G12 Plus Plus, G40 should be compatible with all of them, and also with G13. To make sure, call Zerex tech support.
Is zerex G40 an OAT?
ZEREX G40 is a premium grade, long-life coolant that employs nitrite, amine and phosphate-free, Si-organic acid technology (Si-OAT) to protect the cooling system from rust and corrosion.
What is G40 coolant?
ZEREX G40 is a premium grade, long-life coolant that employs nitrite, amine and phosphate-free, Si-organic acid technology (Si-OAT) to protect the cooling system from rust and corrosion. Don't just use any coolant, use the chemistry specified by the manufacturer: Use ZEREX.
What do the different colors of antifreeze mean?
If antifreeze is green, that probably means it was made from an older formula that uses something called Inorganic Additive Technology. Green antifreeze is made with special tweaks to the formula specifically to help prevent the corrosion of metals in a vehicle's cooling system.
How do you dilute concentrated coolant?
Antifreeze is often available pre-diluted. But if you obtain concentrated antifreeze, always dilute it with water before adding it to a cooling system. Adding the right amount of water provides the needed protection against both freezing and boiling over.
What is the ratio of coolant to water?
50:50
How do you mix concentrated coolant with water?
For example, a mixture of 30:70 (30% antifreeze and 70% water) can work properly in more moderate climates. But in climates where the temperature regularly falls below 0℃, a higher amount of antifreeze in the coolant is required. Mixtures with a ratio of 50:50 work almost in every climate.
