HI-MACS® is the Solid Surface material of the “New Generation”. The mineral material consists of approximately one third acrylic resin (polymethyl methacrylate or PMMA) and 5% natural pigments. Its main constituent, with 70%, is the natural mineral aluminium hydroxide (ATH) obtained from bauxite (aluminium ore).

HIMACS is a completely homogenous material. As it does not have any pores, you can simply and easily clean it with a damp cloth or sponge and a mild detergent. You can also use a domestic scouring agent on all matt finishes.
How do you take care of a high MAC solid surface?
HI-MACS® is non-porous so dirt, liquids and most chemicals sit on the surface and can be wiped away. However it is best to wipe up any spills as they happen. Use an ammonia-based hard- surface cleaner or a good solid-surface cleaner an ordinary detergent works well.
