What color shoes with a navy dress?
FH wants to wear a black tuxedo but the bridal party will be wearing navy.I used to think gray for the men because I was taught black and navy clashed too much.I don't like colors so maybe someone else knows if black and navy would look good.Thanks.
It's fine.Tuxes come in three different colors, so you might want one of the others to be better. The summer rig is a white dinner jacket with black tuxedo pants.I don't know when you are getting married, but these can be a lifesaver in the heat.midnight blue is indistinguishable from black. It won't get a green sheen like black can, so it looks better in photos. If you want to compare all three, The Black Tie Guide has pictures and details.
I don't like navy and black together. My bridesmaids and the guys are wearing navy dresses.
Black and navy are not compatible. If your FH wants to wear what you want, I'd change the bridesmaids dresses' color.
They go together well.Black tuxedos are classy and classic. This is not the same as your typical outfit.Consider dress material, it will show a lot lighter and have more contrast.
I think it looks great. It's not true that navy and black don't match, because a lot of the midnight blue tuxes have black lapels. If you are having a formal evening wedding, I wouldn't wear gray.
My girls are wearing navy and I was imagining grey tuxedos.I think they look too much suits and are now in black.
My BM are in the navy. Our guys are wearing suits.I don't think the black is clashing too much.
It's like wearing mixed metals "never wear gold and silver" but the reality is they are neutrals. It can work.
I laughed when my husband wanted to wear a white tuxedo. He went with a dark grey.I think a lighter grey would look great with the blue.Is it a daytime or nighttime wedding?
The guys were wearing black tuxedos with marine vests and ties while my girls were in marine gear. They looked great together.
I think it's fine.I am biased because FH is wearing a black suit that he already has.
