What does class A uniform mean?
Class A uniforms are more formal and include a dress jacket, dress pants and custom insignia communicating the level of authority and experiences of the wearer. As such Class A uniforms can be quite elaborate.
How do you wear firefighter class A uniform?
Firefighters and Engineers wear no collar brass on shirts, only their “Class A” jacket. Captains and above wear die-cut brass on shirts AND disks on “Class A” jacket. Missing badges, nametags, or collar brass is not acceptable. If your uniform is incomplete it cannot be worn.
