Cats love to hunt.There is a chance that your cat will have an encounter with a bee.Cats may have dangerous reactions to bee venom.If your cat gets stung, you will need to quickly evaluate his condition, perform first aid and perform appropriate aftercare.
Step 1: There are signs of a severe reaction.
If you know or suspect that your cat has been stung by a bee, you should immediately see a doctor.If you see any of the following symptoms, immediately take your cat to the vet or emergency room.
Step 2: Do you know what stung your cat?

Step 3: Determine where the cat was stung.
Look for signs of redness or swelling.If your cat has been stung in the mouth or throat, you should take it to the vet immediately.
Step 4: The stinger needs to be removed if it is still in place.
The cat is most likely to be stung by a bee than a wasp.After a bee sting, venom can remain in the skin for several minutes.Try to remove it as soon as possible.It will look like a small black splinter.You can use a butter knife, fingernail, or edge of a credit card to remove the stinger.If you want to squeeze more venom into the wound, don't try to remove the stinger with tweezers or pinch it out with your fingers.
Step 5: A cold compress can be applied to the sting.

Step 6: Baking soda and water can be applied to the sting.

Step 7: Keep an eye on your cat.
The swelling from the sting should be reported to your vet.Over the next few days, look out for redness, inflammation, and swelling around the site of the sting.
Step 8: Ask your vet if you should give your cat Benadryl.
Benadryl can help reduce inflammation.It's a good idea to talk to your vet about the right dose for your cat.Other types of medications intended for humans may be harmful or fatal to cats, so do not give your cat a medication containing any ingredients other than Benadryl.
Step 9: The sting can be treated with pure aloe gel.
It's important that the gel doesn't contain alcohol or lotion.Only use a small amount.Don't let your cat have any aloe in his eyes.A thin layer of triple antibiotic ointment could be applied to the site.
