Michael B. Jordan plays Wallace on The Wire.Wallace is a drug dealer for the Barksdale Organization who works in the low-rise projects crew known as "The Pit" with his friends and fellow dealers.Wallace tries to leave the drug trade when he learns of the death of Brandon Wright, the boyfriend of stick-up artist Omar Little. He informs on the Barksdale Organization to the police, and as a result is killed by Bodie and Poot under orders from drug lord Stringer Bell.
Wallace is related to Darcia Wallace. He is a drug dealer in the Barksdale crew's low rise projects organization. He serves under D'Angelo Barksdale.
He can identify famous people on currency better than the rest of his crew, but sometimes struggles with the math involved with drug dealing. He takes responsibility for many younger kids in the projects, housing them in an apartment, packing their lunches, and helping them with homework. He betrayed his age when he was found playing with toys while on lookout duty.
After the pit crew's drugs were stolen, Wallace spotted Brandon playing pinball and called the police.Brandon is tortured to death by Stringer Bell.Outside of Wallace's home, there is a display of his body.
Wallace gets a quarter of the $2000 bounty on Brandon's head, but is so upset by the event that he wants out of "the game".He told D'Angelo that he wanted to go back to school.D'Angelo gave Wallace some money.Wallace has spent the money on drugs and is spending most of his time at home getting high to help with his post-murder trauma.
Wallace agrees to cooperate with the Barksdale detail after being picked up by the police. He says that Stringer was involved in the killing of Brandon.
Wallace was sent to live with his grandmother in rural Cambridge, Maryland, in order to be safe until the trial.Wallace is temporarily forgotten after detective Kima Greggs is shot in an undercover operation.Bored with life away from Baltimore, he returns to the low-rise projects and asks to get involved in the trade again.
Wallace's return is suspicious to Stringer Bell.D'Angelo tried to convince Stringer of Wallace's loyalty, but he was not convinced.Wallace begged for mercy, reminding Bodie of their friendship. After taunting Wallace, Bodie hesitates, unable to bring himself to shoot Wallace.Wallace was shot and killed by Bodie, who left him wounded and dying. The gun is taken by Poot and he finishes him off.
D'Angelo is angry when he learns of Wallace's death. It is one of the main factors that leads D'Angelo to want to leave "the game" himself, and it drives a permanent wedge between him and Stringer, which eventually leads to him being murdered in prison.
