Step 2: If Media Mail does not comply with USPS's "no advertisements" rule, don't mail anything at all.
Media Mail can't be used to send advertisements. The rule is fuzzy because mentions of other media within a piece of media are considered okay if they aren't part of overt advertising for the purpose of selling the media mentioned.
Step 3: There are restrictions on what can be sent through Media Mail.
Nothing over 70 pounds can be sent.Video games are not eligible.enclosures can be sent along with the media that fits their guidelines. You can include the bills and invoices. The media has a personal note. There are instructions for the media's use.The media has printed information.
Step 4: You need an envelope or box for the item you're shipping.
Office supplies stores sell envelopes and boxes. The envelope's maximum dimensions are 12 by 15 inches and 1/2 inch thick. The length of the package and the distance around the thickest part of it are not allowed for boxes. At most USPS locations, envelopes and boxes can be purchased.
Step 5: Wrap your packages the same way.
Pack peanuts to fill the empty space if the items are small enough that they will shift around in the box.Office supply stores sell peanuts.Newspaper can be used to cushion items.Shake the box gently to see if there's enough cushion. There should be no rattling in the box.
Step 6: The package should be addressed correctly.
Mail shipped with USPS is addressed the same as Media Mail. You can print the address with a pen.The return address can be found in the upper left corner of the envelope. The address goes to the middle. You need to put a postage stamp in the upper right corner of the envelope or box. There is a tool on the USPS website to calculate and purchase the correct postage.
Step 7: The package needs to be sealed.
The boxes should be sealed with packing tape. The tape should be included on the envelope flap.
Step 8: You can go to the post office.
You can find USPS post offices near you with an online search.Take your package with you to the post office.
Step 9: How much media mail is included in your package?
It will be different between items. If your package is under 9 ounces, priority mail is the best way to ship it.The cost for your package will be determined by the worker at the post office.Up to 37.22 for a 70 pound package is what Media Mail shipping costs.
Step 10: You should ship your package.
The cashier will put a label on the package if you ship it via Media Mail. You can add additional services, such as mailing certification and insurance. You will get evidence that you mailed when you sign up for certified mailing.USPS tracking will let you know when the estimated delivery date and time will be.Mail can be insured up to 5000 dollars, depending on the value of the item or items inside.
