The lux 500 thermostat is part of the HunkerLux Products TX500E Smart Temp Programmable Thermostat series.

The Lux 500 is a smart thermostat.They are becoming popular with homeowners.They are good for the environment because they make heating and cooling your house more efficient.If everyone used a smart thermostat, you would save 56 trillion BTUs of energy and 13 billion pounds of greenhouse gas emissions each year.The emissions of 1.2 million vehicles are equal to this.

It is fairly easy to program your Lux to your temperature needs once it is installed.The thermostat should have an instruction manual with it.It will prove useful.

When you open the panel on a Lux, you will see a screen in the center and several switches and buttons that will allow you to set the thermostat's day, time and temperature settings.

The panel is on the thermostat.The slide switch should be moved to the "Day" and "Time" position.On the left-hand corner, the day will flash.The button on the lower right-hand side says "Next" if you press the up arrow until you find the correct day.The time should be on the upper right-hand corner of the screen.The up or down arrow is used to set the time.The designation of AM or PM is correct.

The default set temperatures for both heat and cool will be on the Lux.There are four designated time slots for both modes.Each block of time has a temperature set.The temperature starts at 78 degrees at 6 a.m.The temperature goes back to 78 degrees in the evening.The temperature goes down to 75 degrees at 10 p.m. during night mode.

You can set the temperatures that you want.A custom schedule can be made for different days of the week.The best temperature settings are determined when the home is empty.

The switch on the panel's lower left corner can be used to set the thermostat.The slide switch should be on the right.You have to set the weekday temperatures.The time you wish to set the morning temperature should be displayed in the right-hand corner of the screen.The temperature will be on the lower right.The time and temperature can be adjusted with the up and down arrows.After setting the time, you will be able to set the temperature.The next time and temperature will be set when you press "Next" again.

The screen will advance to Saturday when you've finished setting the temperature for the four designated periods of time.For the weekend, you may want to change the temperature.The screen advances to Sunday when the temperatures are set on Saturday.If you want, you can set custom temperatures for this day.

It's easy to see what your temperatures are for each day of the week once you've set them.You can push the "Next" button to go through all your choices.Simply pause on a choice you want to change, make the changes using the up and down arrows, and then press "Next."
