Speaker glue surrounds, what kind of glue do you use to repair a speaker?
I made a mess of the glue when I tried to adhere a glass screen protectors to my phone.I tried to remove the glue from the speaker grill with alcohol and methylated spirits.
The speaker sounds bad right now.I think the partially dissolved glue and denatured alcohol got inside.
What are my options? Is it possible to fix the speaker by bathing it in more methylated spirits or buying an electronics contacts cleaner?
Is it possible to open the phone, lose the waterproofness, and replace the speaker?
The best way to clean instruments is to use a mix of different kinds of denatured alcohol, which can be found at 90.
I could find a small needle and inject 10 times the whole load slowly while music with deep basses is playing inside the speaker, so that the excess alcohol goes back without passing on the top of the phone into a bowl below.
It's important to know that the P30 pro is a waterproof phone. It is important to use only isorpropyl alcohol for non-waterproof phones.
It was not due to glue in the speaker that I had damage to the screen.I replaced it with a new screen because of the thin particals in the glue.Make sure to use tape on all sides of the screen to apply UV protection.
If you want to penetrate the speaker, squirt some alcohol on it.Add more alcohol with loud music and let it play.
If you repeat this 10 times, gently tap the speaker grill with the brush to loosen the glue stuck to the grill.
After 10 minutes hold your phone with the screen down and then tap it against your other hand to get the isopropyl out.
You are a life saver. When I made a call after having a heart attack, the sound was muffled and cracked.I used acetone and a paintpbrush to clean it.Thanks a lot for your help!
I created an account to let people know that I encountered the same problem and this solution fixed it.This worked like a charm, thank you sir or ma'am!Good vibes and prayers will be sent to you.
If you don't have a paintbrush, a clean, densely bristled make up brush works just as well- I used precision tweezers to remove the excess on top, then used this to do this.It is amazing. It's easy.It took a lot of time, but I was done in minutes.
This account was created to thank jpvandenbosch. It really worked. It took me a long time.Just going to be patient.
The same thing happened to me with my S9 plus. Some glue got inside my speaker and I wanted to fix it.The sounds started to break.I used a tooth brush and perfume to clean it.It worked. It works now.
I had the same problem.I put some baby cologne on the grille of the earpiece and brushed it with a toothbrush after 10 seconds. The crackling was gone after that.!
If you conform with Service Center how expensive your part is then you do any experiment.
