Nipple piercings can be a fun way to show off your style.nipple bars, rings, and shields are some of the jewelry options you can choose after your piercing has healed. You need to remove the initial piercing before you can put new jewelry in.You will be ready to put in jewelry of your choice. You will soon be a veteran at changing your nipple piercings with a little time and practice.
Step 1: Put your hands in a container and wash them thoroughly.
Rub your hands together with soap for at least 20 seconds.Make sure that the soap is in between your fingers.Warm water will wash your hands off. They should be air-dried or wiped on a paper towel. If you don't have any soap or water, use a hand sanitizer.
Step 2: The bar jewelry has metal balls at the end.
The nipple bar has a metal ball on it.The ball must come off the jewelry.Set this aside in a safe place so that you don't lose it.If you remove body jewelry, keep in mind the "righty-tighty" rule.
Step 3: Take the metal bar out of your body.
The ball is still attached to the metal bar.Carefully pull the bar out of the piercing. You don't want to damage the piercing if you force it out or remove it quickly. You don't want to lose the bar.If you can't remove the bar, contact a piercer. If you have a nipple shield, slide this part off first.
Step 4: If you misplace the bar, place it in the metal ball.
Remove the metal ball from the end of the bar.Continue until the ball is securely attached to the rest of the jewelry. If you put this item in a jewelry box or other secure place, you won't lose it later. You can make a jewelry box for your nipple ornaments if you don't already have one.
Step 5: Use soap and water to clean your hands.
Put soap on your hands and lather it all over your fingers and palms. To make your hands sterile, try using antibacterial soap.Rub your hands together for at least 20 seconds to get rid of soap.Don't forget to dry your hands with a towel or air-dry them after this. You should also wash your wrists and hands.
Step 6: Take a pair of scissors and put them in the ring.
Take a pair of scissors and put them in the nipple ring.Make sure the scissors are closed before you place them near your nipple.Only slide the scissors through the ring.To be extra cautious, use a small pair of safety scissors.
Step 7: The ring should be loosened by opening the scissors slightly.
To force the edges of the ring apart, open the scissors slowly. You don't want to damage the jewelry in the process, so use slow, methodical motions.Continue opening the scissors until the hoop opens up.There are nipple rings with a clasping mechanism. To open the ring, pinch your fingers on both sides. As you remove the ring, try to angle the tips of the scissors away from your nipple.
Step 8: Take out the jewelry by removing the metal hoop.
It is better to angle the ring so that it is easier to pull out the piercing.Carefully remove the metal ring from the piercing. If the ring is attached to one side of the hoop, slide it out via the other side.If you have a problem getting a nipple ring out, contact a professional.
Step 9: Your jewelry should be washed.
A small glass of warm water is all it will take to create a cleaning mixture. For 5 minutes, put your ring, bar, or shield in the solution.Make sure to stir in the salt.If your jewelry doesn't have any extra accessories, boiling the metal is a better option.
Step 10: The bar should be moved through the piercing to keep it in place.
Pinch the end of the metal bar with 2 fingers.Unless the bar slides through the piercing, work slowly.Place the jewelry with slow, careful movements if it doesn't go in.You don't want to damage your nipple if you force in jewelry. If you can't get your jewelry to fit, ask for help from a piercing professional.
Step 11: If you use a bar, you need to screw the metal ball on the jewelry.
Attach the piercing to the bar with a metal ball.Use your fingers to keep the metal piece in place as you turn the ball clockwise. The metal ball should be secured to the rest of the jewelry.
Step 12: If you're wearing a shield, line the bar up in the center slot.
Set the bar in the center with the nipple shield on top.Make sure the metal is centered in the nipple shield. The metal bar should be inserted through the shield opening and piercing to secure the jewelry. There is a slot for the bar to go through. The shield won't be secure if the bar goes through this.
Step 13: When wearing a nipple ring, secure the jewelry with a bead
Take the bead-free end of the nipple ring and slide it through the piercing.Don't try to force it in or push it through quickly, instead use gentle, careful movements as you guide the ring through.Wrap both ends of the ring with a metal bead. There are different clasping mechanisms for nipple rings. This is something to keep in mind when securing your jewelry.
