I can set up Apple Pay at Macy's.I keep getting an error message when I try to use the store card.They say that can be done.Is it true?

You can't if it's giving you an error.The person is not telling you what to do.Macy's accepts Apple Pay at their stores.

My guess is that your store card is not a credit card at all.It might be a Macy's loyalty card that accumulates points when you make purchases.I don't know if Macy's has a loyalty card.You may be able to use it as a pass in Passbook if it is.

If you have a Macy's gift card, it wouldn't work with Apple Pay.

There was a call to Macy's tech support dept.They haven't implemented the program yet because they have the "readers" set up.The Macy's Visa and store cards won't work as of this date.Even though Macy's is listed on the group accepting the card, they are not doing it yet.March 2, 2015.

I don't know what your point is.If Macy's is giving you the wrong information, they are confused.Macy's has been accepting Apple Pay at their stores since the launch of the service a few months ago.I have used several of the supported credit card issuers at Macy's.Whether or not you can add a Macy's credit card to Apple Pay remains to be seen.If implemented, the VISA card will most likely work, but doubtful about the store card as that one does not use traditional credit card clearing processes.
