It's time to get rid of a problem between your legs.
It might appear like a small problem.Chafing can cause bigger problems when it rubs against your skin for a long time. The most common cause of skin irritation between legs is chafing. If sweat becomes trapped under the skin, it can cause irritation. It is possible to treat most of the rashes at home.
Step 1: Choose clothing that is comfortable.
Cotton and natural fibers are worn throughout the day.The underwear you wear should be 100% cotton. When you exercise, wear a synthetic material that will keep you dry.Your clothing should be comfortable.Don't wear materials that are coarse, scratchy, or trap water.
Step 2: Don't wear clothing that is tight.
The clothes on your legs should be loose enough to keep your skin dry. It's important that your clothing doesn't pinch your skin.If your clothing is tight, it will rub against your skin. The most common cause of skin irritation between the legs is yeast. An overgrowth of yeast can be caused by high blood sugar in a type 2 diabetes.Chafing usually happens along the inner thighs (panty crease line is usually the starting point and then the rash spreads out across the thigh), the groin, the underarms, under the breasts and in between rolls of skin.If it happens around the nipples, please have a doctor check it out.If it isn't treated, it can get worse.
Step 3: Don't wash your skin.
After taking a bath or shower, keep your skin dry.Take a cotton towel and apply it to your skin.It could cause irritation to the rash. You could use a hair dryer on the lowest setting to dry the rash area.High heat can cause the rash. It's important to keep the area dry.Sweat has high levels of minerals that can make your skin rash worse.
Step 4: When to see a doctor.
Most rashes can be treated at home.If your rash doesn't get better in 4 to 5 days, you should call your doctor. If you suspect your rash is infectious, this is important.Taking care of the rash, keeping it clean, and lubricating it will give you some relief within a day or two.Talk to your doctor if you aren't feeling better by this time.
Step 5: Follow the doctor's treatment recommendation.
If you have a rash, your doctor will perform a physical examination.Your doctor will probably order a culture if he thinks you have a disease.Your doctor can use this test to find out what strain ofbacteria is causing your infection and what treatment is needed. One or more of the following may be prescribed by your doctor. If needed, apply rash, jock itch, or yeast infection medicine.
Step 6: The rash area should be cleaned.
It's important to wash the area with soap since it will be sweaty and sensitive.Make sure to rinse off the soap with warm or cool water.Extra soap could cause more irritation to your skin.Use a plant-based oil soap.Look for soap made from vegetable oil, vegetable glycerin, or plant butters.Immediately after sweating a lot, be sure to bathe. This prevents the rash area from becoming moist.
Step 7: A drying powder can be applied.
If your skin is clean and dry, you can lightly apply a powder. You should only use small amounts of baby powder if it contains talcum powder.Don't use baby powder if it contains talcum powder. There are studies that show an increased risk of ovarian cancer in women. It's a good idea to avoid applying cornstarch since it can cause skin infections.
Step 8: Rub your skin.
Don't let your legs rub against each other. You can use a natural lubricant like almond oil. Before you apply the lubricant, make sure your skin is clean and dry.If you want to protect the skin, place clean gauze over the rash.If you notice the rash is still rubbing on your clothing or skin, apply lubricant at least twice a day.
Step 9: An essential oil can be added to lubricant.
While lubricating your skin is important, you can also apply herbal essential oils that have healing properties.Medicial honey has antibacterial and antifungal properties. The oil from this flower can heal skin wounds and act as an anti-Inflammatory.Depression and anxiety can be treated with St John's wort, but it can also be used to heal skin irritation.Women who are pregnant or nursing shouldn't use St John's wort.More studies are needed to understand the healing properties of Arnica oil.Women who are pregnant or nursing shouldn't use arnica oil.The essential oil from the yarrow plant supports healing. It has anti- inflammatory and wound healing properties. In children with burns, it's been used.
Step 10: You can test the mixture on your skin.
If your skin is sensitive, you should determine if the herbal oil mixture will cause an allergic reaction. You can put a cotton ball on the inside of your elbow.Wait 10 to 15 minutes after putting a bandage over it.You can use the mixture throughout the day if you don't notice a reaction. To make sure the rash is always being treated, try to apply it at least 3 or 4 times.Children under 5 years old are not allowed to use these herbal mixtures.
Step 11: You can take an oat bath.
oats into a nylon knee-high stockingTo prevent oats from spilling out, tie the stocking to the bathtub's tap.The oats will absorb the water as it fills the tub.pat your skin dry after soaking for 15 to 20 minutes. This is done once a day.If the area is large, a soothing bath is helpful.
