Odense is a nice city with nice parks and nice houses. People mainly choose the neighbourhood depending on distance to the places they want to be near. And money of course. It is cheaper to buy or rent in the outskirts than towards the city centre.
What is Odense known for?
In the center of Funen, Denmark's garden island, which is filled with magnificent manor houses and palaces, Odense is named after the Norse God of war, wisdom, and poetry, Odin. It is best known to tourists as the birthplace of Hans Christian Andersen, author of some of the most treasured fairy tales.7 Oct 2019

Is Odense worth visiting?
Odense might be the most popular city in Funen but certainly not the only one worth a visit. Every town on the island has its own personality and atmosphere. Nyborg, one of Denmark's oldest towns, Svendborg and Kerteminde at the north of the island are all scenic towns worth a place on your bucket list.20 Sept 2018
