You may think that your hair is not strong enough to grow long.Don't worry! You can grow long, lustrous hair if you put more effort into your hair care regimen and styling.
Step 1: Make sure your hair is well cared for.
Black women have curly hair.It is difficult for your hair's natural oils to move down the hair shaft because of the curly roots. If you want to use just conditioner, try co- washing. Some women do it weekly, some after 5 days, but not daily because it can dry your hair out. Some women find that wash days take a lot of work and their hair takes forever to dry.Don't wait any longer than 4 weeks to co-wash, and at least once a month to wash your hair. Some women wash their hair with water. There is a deep condition with every wash. It's a good idea to use a deep conditioner containing olive, avocado or sweet almond oil.Try different products and see what works best for your hair.Don't be afraid to leave the ethnic hair aisle. While you wait, apply heat to your hair and wear a shower cap.You can either sit under a hood dryer, wrap your head in a towel soaked in hot water, or let your body heat condition your hair.Don't get deep conditioner on your hair. The conditioner can cause hair loss.
Step 2: It's a good idea to apply a moisturizer to your hair.
Wet your hair.Go away from the roots and apply the Moisturizer all the way to the ends. You want your hair to be soft and supple. It is possible to find what works for you.The humidity needs to be sealed in.Natural oil like coconut oil or olive oil can be used to do this.Even if you don't have a moisturizer, you can still apply oil on damp hair.It is easier if you do it in sections.
Step 3: Use a microfiber towel to remove excess water.
If you have a terry cloth towel, you must not stroke your hair with it, or you will hear a lot of popping, which is the sound of the hair breaking off, as you bring your hand down.If you want to use the terry cloth, you have to take a section of hair and squeeze it with the towel over your hand. You should feel the water on the towel.Don't slide the towel off the hand.
Step 4: Take care with your hair.
There is a protective layer on your hair.Your hair should be combed with a wide-toothed comb.Your hair should be divided into sections.Work your way up to the roots by combing at the ends.Don't be afraid to use the comb.If you hit a knot, you just have to use your fingers to untangle it.If you can't get out of a knot in your hair, you might want to add something to make it softer. If the knot won't come loose, use a pair of scissors to cut it out.If you want to smooth your hair, use a soft bristle brush. If your edges are still floating on your head, try covering them with a scarf or a durag.Wait until you have a tamed hair. It's a good idea to experiment with whether or not to do this when your hair is completely dry or if you should just keep it wet.
Step 5: Take a multivitamin and treat your hair.
If you want to increase your hair growth rate, use a hair vitamins.
Step 6: Try to incorporate healthy habits.
Eat healthy foods such as fish, fruits, vegetables and nuts if you drink at least eight cups of water. You can increase circulation to your hair by exercising.Relax with meditation or relaxation exercises.Stress can cause hair to fall out.
Step 7: If you start with a clean shave, you should be able to grow your shoulder length in about one and a half years.
Every other person's hair grows at the same rate.If you take good care of your hair, you can expect growth of about 13mm per month.
Step 8: Wait another 6 to 15 months for your hair to grow out.
Step 9: To hit bra-strap length, add another 9 to 18 months.
It will take about 3 years to grow your hair.
Step 10: It will take 3 to 4 years for hair to grow to your waist.
People's hair grows at different rates. You will only get frustrated if you don't compare yourself to other people.Take care of your hair, and be patient. You will get results.
Step 11: You don't need to constantly redo your hair if you use protective styles.
There are some examples of good styles. When you're done, tie the end of the braid.Adding a hair band is also possible.Divide your hair into rows.Divide the row into 2 separate sections.Take the 2 sections of the first row and twist them together. As you move toward the back of your head, twisting your hair, grab a little more hair as you go further down the row.Divide damp hair into sections using a comb.As you twist each section of hair, apply some gel or pomade to it.When you've twisted the entire section into a rope, keep your hair taut. When the rope starts to Curl in on itself, turn it a few more times. The coil will be created at the base.Wrap the rope of hair around the base. You can use pins, elastics or tuck the ends under the knot to secure it.Don't be aggressive and watch out for traction alopecia. It's the constant force being put on the hair follicle from wear styles that are too tight resulting in breakage and bald spots.Pain at the site and inflammation of the hair follicle will be the first signs.Take the hair out where the inflammation is and let it breathe. While it's in protective styles, continue to care for your hair. The hair is still wet and may need some care.Get a spray bottle and fill it with water, aloe Vera juice, some natural oils, and spray it all over.If you have time, put your head under the shower head at the beginning of the day and let it dry.If protective styles are being worn for extended periods of time, an application bottle may be needed to try and reach under braids.
Step 12: Go natural.
If you know what you're doing, natural hair can be long and beautiful. To protect your hair from heat damage, blow dry it with a comb attachment and wet setting before using a flat iron.
Step 13: The treatment is called a Brazilian keratin treatment.
It loosens the curl with no chemicals. They start from 1 day to 6 months. The treatment will last more than the time stated because Afro hair is washed less often.
Step 14: If you don't want to be natural, use a relaxer.
Relax your hair once every 8 to 10 weeks or 4 or 5 times per year. It's good to limit relaxers to prevent them from damaging your hair.If you want to protect your hair shaft, apply a petroleum jelly to it.The manufacturer's instructions say to apply the relaxer to your roots. It is recommended that you follow the leave-in time on the product. The relaxer should be washed out in warm water.3 times to wash and rinse.Leave the hair product on for 10 minutes before rinsing it off.
Step 15: You should use a reconstructor after using a relaxer.
Your hair will be dry and fragile because of the removal of needed vitamins and shielding from it.It will make your hair more resistant to damage.
Step 16: When you have your hair relaxed, clip your ends every 8 weeks.
If you don't cut your split ends, they will split all the way up your hair shaft, which will cause breakage. If you want to keep your hair growth steady, don't take off more than 1 to 2 inches at a time.
