I hate my granite countertops, please help!

We got to choose the granite when we bought the house.We had to go with this one because we had run out of time and options and I was hoping that once installed I would like it better.I was looking for a softer white/gray/beige granite.It looks like this one is too busy.

It makes me feel like I don't like the whole house because of the snake's skin clashing with the wood floor color.

There are so many shadows in your pictures, along with incomplete electrical, that this is still a work in progress.What type of tiles are you using?

Were you thinking of putting a glass door in one of your cabinets?You have it in a dark way.

If you install tile in a solid color that picks up the lighter tone of the granite, you will feel better about it.If you're not happy with the material, it's time to pull it out and put in what you want, even if you have to go to a different supplier.It will cost more in terms of time and money, but I think it's worth it if you want to stay in this home for a long time.You can take the write-off on your taxes if you donate the slabs.
