You can learn how to add text and send messages to your friends on social media.Once you take a photo or video, you'll be able to write on it with text, draw it on with a pen, or add stickers to your story.
Step 1: Go to the app.
There is a purple icon with a camera in it that can be accessed from the apps drawer.
Step 2: To open the camera, Swipe across your screen from left to right.
This will show you the menu for editing photos.You can access the story camera by tapping on the camera icon in the top left corner of the screen.
Step 3: You can take a photo or video from your camera roll.
To take a photo or video, hold the circular button down and tap on it.You can use the bottom of the screen to take a video, such as a Superzoom video or a Boomerang video.To select a photo from your camera roll, tap on the small square icon with a preview of your latest photo.
Step 4: You can add text to your story with the Text tool.
The options menu at the top of the editing menu has an a in it.Modern, Neon, Typewriter, Strong, and Classic are the different styles of fonts.There are bubbles at the bottom of the text editing menu that you can tap to choose a text color.You can pull up custom colors by holding a bubble.You can type your text on the photo if you tap a spot on it.You can add text to your photo by opening your keyboard.You can adjust the settings for your text by toggling different features in the text editing menu.The text will be added to your photo if you save any edits to the text.
Step 5: The Pen tool has an icon in the top-right.
The Text tool is next to the options menu at the top of the editing menu, and it has a picture of a pen drawing a wavy line in it.You can change how drawn lines appear on your story post.Pick a design that will change the way the Pen tool draws or writes.The styles are highlighted, pen, neon, and chalk.The colored circles on the bottom of the Pen tool menu allow you to choose a color for writing or drawing on your story.If you want to add the designs you drew to your photo, tap Done to save any edits you make in the Pen tool.
Step 6: You can choose a sticker by tapping the folded icon.
You can add a sticker to your story with this.You can choose from a variety of stickers, including location tags and poll questions.Polls and some stickers are different.To change the text in the poll, simply tap on it.You can change the size and location of the stickers on your post the same way you change text.You can add a poll by selecting the Poll sticker, entering your question in the ask a question field, and editing the text.The size and location of the Poll sticker can be adjusted.
Step 7: Go to the post button.
This has a right-pointing arrow in it and is at the bottom of the story's editing menu once you have saved all edits to the photo.The photo will be posted with text.
Step 8: Go to the app.

Step 9: The Feed tab has a tap on it.
This appears at the bottom of the screen when you open the app.
Step 10: Pick the story you want to reply to.
All stories posted by users you follow will show up in your feed.To view a story, tap one.
Step 11: Send a message by tapping.
This appears at the bottom of the story and will open a pop-up menu with a blank field where you can send a message.You can take a photo or video if you tap the camera button instead.
Step 12: Write something down.
Before you send a message, make sure it's appropriate and well-worded.
Step 13: You can tap Send.
The user who posted the story you viewed will receive your message.
Step 14: You can open the app.
There is an icon with a camera in it that can be accessed from the apps drawer.
Step 15: You can choose a photo or video to use.
You can either take a photo or video from your phone.The shutter icon is at the bottom of the menu.To add a new video, tap and hold the shutter icon at the bottom of the menu.
Step 16: Write a caption.
This is at the bottom of the preview for your photo.
Step 17: You can type in a caption for your photo.
Step 18: Either tap OK or share.
The caption will be saved when you share it on your feed.
