How To Unshare on Google Drive on PC or Mac
If you use a computer, you can learn how to stop sharing a file or folder in your drive.
Step 1: Go to drive.google.com in a web browser
Click to sign in if you don't see the contents of your drive.
Step 2: Click on the file or folder you want to stop sharing.
There will be a context menu.
Step 3: Click here to share.
There is a menu option with an outline of a person's head and shoulders.
Step 4: Click advanced.
It is at the bottom-right corner of the "share with others" window.
Step 5: Click change.
It is next to the current permission setting.
Step 6: Specific people can be selected off.
Step 7: Click it to save.
You need to remove users who accessed the file after disabling the sharing link.
Step 8: Next to each user you want to remove, click X.
You are finished if no users show up.To completely unshared the file or folder, you must remove each user listed.
Step 9: Click to save the changes.
There is a blue button near the bottom left corner of the window.
Step 10: Click on Done.
The file is no longer shared.
