These steps will help you uninstall Windows Live Messenger.Microsoft stopped using Windows Live Messenger in April of last year.All versions of Windows use the Control Panel to uninstall software, but the steps are slightly different for Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8.If you want to uninstall this software, you need an administrative account and password.
Step 1: The control panel can be opened.

Step 7: Don't use Windows Live Messenger.
Click the Start menu, click Control Panel, and then double-click to add or remove programs.In the Add or Remove Programs window, you can add or remove Windows components.To remove Windows Live Messenger from the components list, click it.Click next and then finish.Administrative privileges are needed to complete this process.
