Stories on social media are very popular.Knowing how to use the many tools available to make your stories fun and engaging is the key to having a more popular account.It can take a while to master all of the features, but we have outlined 10 hacks that can help you level up your stories to be the most engaging they can be.
Step 1: A simple, yet stunning addition to any story, choosing the color of your background can completely change your story's look.
Since they often don't match what you want for your story, you can simply make a background with any color you choose.
Step 2: Go to the create page and select the brush tool.
If you want to see how this is done, you need to select any of the color circles or pull up the sliding palette.The entire background will become a new color when you hold down the middle screen after selecting your color.If you want to select a specific color from a photo, use the same process as above, but choose your color with the eyedropper tool.
Step 3: If you have a live photo that you want your followers to see, we've got the perfect hack for you.
Live photos can make a great addition to your story.Add a live photo to your story by selecting it from your camera roll.Hold down the middle of the screen until the word "Boomerang" appears.And that is all!Your live photo can be posted to your story.
Step 4: Sometimes flat text doesn't pop as it should, this hack will solve that.
The method works best on short phrases.You can copy the whole text after you have added your desired text.Hold down the new text box until you can paste.
Step 5: To get a drop shadow effect, adjust the new text to sit on top of the old one.
You can change the colors based on your background and what you like to highlight the text.
Step 6: If you want to make something stand out, changing the color of the sticker on your account may help.
The sticker you want to use is at the top of the screen.The feature could be a quiz, polls, or a similar one.
Step 7: A color wheel will appear at the top center of your screen once you have your sticker.
You can change the color by clicking on it.Keep clicking until you find a color you like.
Step 8: Have you ever been frustrated by the limited color range in stories?
You can click the pen tool to see a color circle with some simple colors.You can create your own shade by clicking and holding on one of the circles at the bottom.You can slide the eyedropper back and forth to get the perfect shade.
Step 9: Green screen technology has changed the way the world works and that extends to social media, but you don't need a real green screen to use this feature.
Go to the create page and scroll down until you see the effects at the bottom of the screen.
Step 10: Click on the magnifying glass and you will be taken to a search page.
Click on the first option that pops up if you search for green screen.This will show you an example of the green screen effect.
Step 11: There is a button in the bottom left corner.
You will be able to experiment with different ways to use the green screen feature on your own stories page.
Step 12: To add a picture from your camera roll to your background, click the button in the bottom center of your screen.
Once you have a background, pinch and widen your fingers to adjust your picture on the screen.
Step 13: It's easy to add a translucent color to your story.
Pick a video or photo similar to adding a colored background.Click on the pen tool to select your color.Hold down the center of your screen until the translucent color appears after you click on the highlighting tool at the top of the screen.
Step 14: The hack will keep your followers on the edge of their seats by slowly revealing the picture in your story.
Put the picture you want to reveal in your story.Put your text over the whole screen by filling it with a solid color.
Step 15: You can save this story to your camera roll by using the arrow at the top of your screen.
Slowly, using the erase tool, you can reveal the picture underneath the solid color.
Step 16: Save the stories using the download arrow in between every time you remove more of the color, until you reveal the whole picture.
If you want your followers to do a tap-to-reveal, post the saved stories one by one on your camera roll.
Step 17: It's possible to add songs to your story on the photo sharing website, as well as let your followers know to crank their volume.
This feature can be a story, a great addition, or both.The smiley face tab is at the top of the screen.Clicking on the music feature will lead you to all sorts of options.Clicking on this option will lead you to a catalog of songs.You can search for specific songs by clicking on the "Browse" button.
Step 18: You can choose which part you want to play by sliding the bars at the bottom of the screen.
Clicking on the small timer will change the clip duration.The music plays from 5 to 15 seconds.It is up to you to decide how to display the song on your story and you can scroll through your options with the small circles above the timing bar.
Step 19: The album cover could be smaller, the lyrics displayed in several different types of rotation, or both.

Step 20: You can add other photos to your phone gallery as a sticker.
Click the sticker icon at the top of your screen if you have a main image on your story.
Step 21: There is a mountain icon on the circle.
The last photo in your camera roll will be in the circle.It will become a sticker on your story.This method can be used to create a collage for as many photos as you want.
Step 22: You can change the shape of the frame by tapping on the image.
