When you apply eyeliner, it can give you smudgy lines.You can get the best use out of your eyeliner by sharpening it regularly.
Step 1: For five minutes, put your eyeliner in the freezer.
It's a good idea to put your eyeliner in the freezer before you sharpen it.It should come out of the freezer more forcefully.If you have a thicker eyeliner pencil, you may want to leave it in for a longer period of time.
Step 2: Rub alcohol on a cotton swab or Q-Tip.
The alcohol will kill the germs that live in your eyeliner pencil sharpener.It's a good idea to wash your sharpener before and after you use it.The eyeliner pencil sharpener can be opened.
Step 3: It's a good idea to clean the sharpener.
There is a wet swab inside the sharpener.It's a good idea to gently swab.The compartment of the sharpener has blades inside it.
Step 4: Take your eyeliner out of the freezer.
It should feel harder when you put it in.You can put it back in the freezer for another five minutes if it still feels soft.
Step 5: The eyeliner needs to be inserted into the sharpener.
Don't force it, but put it all the way into the sharpener.Don't press hard or force the pencil in.The pencil should hit the hole.
Step 6: The eyeliner needs to be sharper.
At least one full rotation is required to turn the pencil in the sharpener.The eyeliner can fall into the trash can.
Step 7: The eyeliner should be removed from the eyeliner sharpener.
Stop sharpening if you're happy with the sharpness of the tip.Keep sharpening if it still looks dull.Continue this process until you are satisfied with the pencil's sharpness.Eyeliner pencils don't need to be very sharp.They will be touching your skin.
Step 8: If you don't have a sharpener, make fun of it.
You can also use a knife tosharpen eyeliner in a pinch.The pencil and knife are in your dominant hand.The pencil should be pointed downward.The tip of the knife should be an inch or so from the pencil's point.Push the knife to the end of the pencil with your thumb.Thin strips should be used to remove the shavings.All the way around the pencil, repeat this process.Continue until you get sharp.
Step 9: The back of your hand is where you will be testing eyeliner.
Take a small line of eyeliner and put it on your hand.It is important that you are happy with the line it makes.sharpen your pencil if it is too thick.If it is too thin, use a piece of paper or a hand to draw it.You should have a small tip.
Step 10: If necessary, sharpen again.
You can get the right tip by sharpening in smaller amounts.There should be no sharp edges on the tip.It will be near your eye.Try to get the eyeliner on your eye and back of your hand at the same time.
Step 11: The sharpener needs to be sterile again.
The sharpener should be opened.The shavings should be thrown into the garbage can.The eyeliner sharpener's blades and the inner compartment should be washed with a cotton swab and rubbing alcohol.The sharpener needs to be put back together.
