How to reset a maintenance light on a Toyota.

I have learned how to deal with any issues that may arise.I am willing to share my findings.

The "Maintenance Required" indicator on the dash is not an indication of a serious problem.It is an indicator that reminds you to have your oil changed.You will want to reset your oil after having it changed.If you use a third party oil change service, the mechanics at the Toyota dealership may not know how to reset the indicator on a car.

It is quite easy to change the "Maintenance Required" indicator.I included some helpful pictures of me doing the reset process on my own car.

To cycle through and stop on the ODO reading, press the button below the multi-function display.

With your foot off the brake, press and hold down the ODO button and press the Power button twice.Continue to hold the button down.

I only see two steps.The other steps were obscured by the ad after step 2.Half the procedure was not very helpful.

My car has a slightly different procedure.It does not have a trip button.We keep pushing the km/hour MPH button in Step 4.It works after that.My dealer couldn't figure it out.
