Wings are a great addition to any meal, whether it's for a big party or a late-night snack. They are not the healthiest dish due to the fact that they are deep- fried which can lead to health concerns such as type 2 diabetes, heart diseases, and cancer. An air fryer cooks food by circulating hot air rapidly creating a convection effect that results in the food not being drenched in oil. With the use of an air fryer, you get to eat your hot wings without feeling guilty and sick from all the oil consumed, which is a definite win for your health and your cravings.
Step 1: The joint is forced apart if you bend the wing tip.
The wing's tip should be cut with a sharp knife. If the wing piece is larger than your palm, cut it into two pieces and wash it.After washing the meat, place it onto a strainer and let the water out for a few minutes.
Step 2: The wings should be removed from the strainer/colander and put into a large bowl with olive oil.
Add 1/2 cup of salt, black pepper, 1 spoon of cayenne pepper and a dash of garlic powder.
Step 3: All the ingredients should be mixed evenly.
It should look like it is coated. The meat needs to beMarinated for an hour or two.
Step 4: Put the paper on the air fryer basket.
The Parchment paper needs less cleaning because the juice goes straight onto the paper. The air fryer should be set to 350 degrees.Make sure the wings aren't placed on top of each other by placing them on the paper.Laying it out evenly will result in each piece being cooked evenly.
Step 5: The basket needs to be removed from the air fryer.
Take the basket out of the air fryer and use a tong to flip it over. For another 12 minutes, put the basket into the air fryer.
Step 6: While the wings are cooking start with the sauce mixture.
Add the butter to the pan.The butter should not burn after you switch the heat to a low-medium power.
Step 7: The seasoning should be mixed with the sauce.
In a separate bowl, add garlic, chili, and cayenne pepper. It's a good idea to mix well.
Step 8: The seasoning mix should be put in the pan with the butter.
To make sure there are no chunks of butter, add in 1/2 cup of hot sauce.
Step 9: Use a whisk to stir when you switch back to high heat.
The hot sauce and butter seasoning mix needs to be combined.Salt and pepper can be added. The sauce mixture should be put in a separate bowl.
Step 10: Take the wings out and put them in the hot sauce mixture.
You can cover the wings with sauce once the final 12 minutes have passed. It is possible to get that spicy flavor in the wings by brushing them and then dipping them into the mixture.
Step 11: Return the hot sauce covered wings to the basket.
To make sure the wings are covered in sauce that sticks, set the timer for another 3 minutes.
Step 12: Enjoy with a side of ranch or blue cheese.
