Put all of it in a pot.It should be brought to a boil over medium-high heat.When it becomes thick and clumpy, let it cook.Spread it over a tray and let it cool off.Allow it to dry for about 24 hours.
Step 9: The dehydrated whey should be blended into a powder.
You can use a food processor to do this.If you have a coffee grinder, you can use it.If it still feels damp after this, you will have to blend it again, and then spread it out again.
Step 10: The container is lidded.
A jar is great for this.The powder can be used in shakes, cupcakes, and bread.
Step 11: Set the strainer in a bowl.
You need to make sure that you are using unbleached cheesecloth.You can use a clean towel.Make sure the bowl is deep enough to hold the strainer and liquid.
Step 12: The yogurt or kefir should be put in the lined strainer.
Store-bought yogurt can be used.If you're using store-bought yogurt, make sure it doesn't contain anything.Do not use the flavoured kind of yogurt or kefir.
Step 13: Place the yogurt in the fridge and let the liquid drain from it.
This can take up to 24 hours.You will have sour cream in the strainer if you used yogurt.The yogurt can be turned into cream cheese if you leave the bowl in the fridge longer.
Step 14: The pitcher will be filled with the collected whey.
The solids should be in the cheesecloth.Greek yogurt, sour cream, or cream cheese can be left with you depending on how long you strained the yogurt.At this point, your body is done.If you want to get even more, you'll have to dehydrate it.Water can be removed from the whey by dehydration.
Step 15: If you have a dehydrator,hydrate the whey.
The trays that came with your dehydrator should be filled with 1 cup of liquid whey.The instructions on your dehydrator will show you how tohydrate the whey.This will be 135F (58C) for most machines and dairy products.It will take 12 hours for the dehydration to be complete.
Step 16: If you don't have a dehydrator, you can process the whey manually.
Pick up all of the whey and put it in a pot.Reduce the heat to a steady boil after you bring the whey to the boil.Allow it to cook until it becomes thick and clumpy.Transfer it to a tray lined with wax paper and let it cool.Let it dry after breaking it into smaller pieces.
Step 17: You can blend the dried whey into a powder.
You can use a food processor or coffee grinder.At this point, it may still feel damp.If this happens to you, grind it again after 24 hours and spread it out again.
Step 18: Store and use powdered milk.
A jar is a good place to put the whey.It can be mixed into a smoothie.You can add it to baked recipes.
Step 19: Dry milk, oats, and almonds are used.
The instant, nonfat dry milk should be placed into a blender.Old fashioned or instant dry oats and almonds can be added.Put everything together into a fine powder.Water should not be added to the milk.There is powdered milk.
Step 20: It's a good idea to blend the rest of the milk.
The remaining 2 cups of dry milk should be put into the blender.Once more, pulse the blender.
