A plastic base and wire make this a fun project for teens and adults.
Step 1: It's a good idea to clean and dry your mold.
It should be coated with a thin coat of cooking oil.To smooth out the petroleum jelly, towel or pat out any excess. If you are using a silicone mold, there is no need to lubricate it.Silicone is flexible and doesn't stick to other materials.
Step 2: The catalyst agent or hardener should be mixed with about 6 to 8 ounces of resin.
If you want, you can add glitter, pearlescent powder, or a number of drops of coloring to the mixing container. You don't need to mix it with a hardener if you are using UV resin. The dyes do not work with each other. It is possible to use glitter and pearlescent powder with all kinds of resin.
Step 3: For two minutes, mix thoroughly.
Step 4: The prepared mold should be poured immediately.
Extra resin can be placed in a second mold or set aside.
Step 5: Allow it to cure.
It will shrink and make sun-molding a bit easier once cured.
Step 6: The center of the piece is marked.
Step 7: It is necessary to drill at least two inches.
Step 8: The wire should be shaped like a paperclip.
Step 9: Plastic or metal glue should be poured into the hole.
Step 10: Allow it to cure again for up to 2 weeks.
