You can give someone a photo board for a special occasion. It's possible to make a photo board as simple or elaborate as you want.A group of photographs, newspaper headlines, or magazine strips are all related to something.
Step 1: You need to gather your supplies.
A bulletin board is needed for a traditional photo board. If you use a cork bulletin board it will be easier to add and remove photos. The fabric or wrapping paper can be used as the background. You want to use related pictures for the board.Stapler Glue or double sided tape Scissors are also required.
Step 2: The background needs to be created.
A personalized background can be created using your favorite wrapping paper. You can either cut it into pieces or use it as a full background.Glue the shapes on the board when you have enough.Make sure the corners stay down by taping them.Attach the full wrapping paper to the board with either glue or double sided tape.Wrap the fabric over the front of the board if you choose to use it.Attach the fabric from the back of the board.
Step 3: Cut your photos.
People cut up pictures for photo boards.Cut out people's faces or photos and make them look like a heart. If you want to preserve your photos, you don't need to cut them up.You can use craft scissors to make fun patterns around the photos.
Step 4: The photos need to be arranged.
The photos on the board can be rearranged.Remember to tape down the corners with double sided tape if you want the pictures to stay.
Step 5: The board needs to be decorated.
Think of the things you like and cut them out.If you have problems with the corners, use double tape to glue them down. You can write your own words on the board.Use glitter and gloss to make the board sparkle. You could use nail polish to paint the board.
Step 6: Pick out your supplies.
A ribbon board is a photo board that secures photos and materials with ribbons. It is easier to pin photos into a bulletin board with a cork base. You can get a roll of low loft batting at a crafts store. You need at least 10 yards of ribbon for your fabric.
Step 7: Cut the batting.
Put the batting from the roll over the bulletin board.About an inch or two of excess batting should be left on the board. The batting should be cut with scissors.Cut out additional strips to cover the full board if the batting isn't wide enough.
Step 8: Don't hit the batting.
Attach the batting to the board with a stapler.Make all the staplers from the backside of the board by folding the batting over it.If you want an even distribution, stretch out the batting slightly.Cut excess batting with scissors.Only trims that are loose from being stapled to the board. The batting is on the exposed side of the photo board.
Step 9: Measure and cut.
The fabric you drape over the board is similar to the batting. The fabric needs to cover the entire board. If your fabric isn't big enough, use a larger fabric. The edge of the board should be covered by an inch or two of fabric. To create an even sheet of fabric, make the necessary cuts with your scissors. It might be easier to use fabric scissors.
Step 10: Attach the fabric to the board.
The fabric should be folded over the board. There should be no folds on the front of the board.Attach the fabric to the board with a stapler.Only staple to the back of the board. The front of the board is clean.Use your scissors to trim off excess fabric.
Step 11: Pick out your ribbons.
Measure the length of one corner of the board to the opposite corner by cutting your ribbons. You can arrange the ribbons in any way you want. The criss cross pattern is very popular. If you spread your ribbons evenly, you can make this pattern. On top of those ribbons, place your remaining ribbons at the opposite angle.A cross pattern looks like diamonds.A criss cross pattern can be created with anywhere from 8 to 16 strips.
Step 12: Attach the ribbons with pins.
Use pins to keep your ribbons secure. There is a pin at each end of the ribbon. When you are satisfied with your arrangement, staple the ribbons down the same way you stapled the batting and fabric.
