How to make a Christmas Garland made of dried orange slices.

There is a way to make a dried fruit garlands for the Christmas tree.

Easy instructions on how to dry orange slices are included in the dried orange slice ornaments that I made.I added a matching fruit garland because I loved them so much.

When our oldest daughter was 3 years old, we sold our first house and moved into my in-laws weekend home.

When we moved around Christmas, we put the top half of our tree up and handmade our decorations, instead of taking our holiday decor out of the boxes we just packed.

She pointed out her ornaments to everyone that visited the tree.It's a wonderful memory that has always stayed with me, but I'm not sure if she remembers any of it.

I've been thinking about that tree a lot while I decorate the Christmas tree in our dining room.

The ornaments aren't handmade, but they are made with dried orange slices and cranberries.

If you've never made dried oranges before, make sure you check out how I did it.The smell when you make them is heavenly.

For this project, you can use fishing line or string.I used a fishing line that was lying around.

Look at that color.I can't get enough.I put them all over our house.

I kept it simple so you can do what you want with this.I added an orange slice for every 10 cranberries I strung.

I stuck the needle through the middle of the cranberry and the orange slice.It's very simple.

I hung the garland on my tree after I felt it was long enough.Very thrifty and easy to do.

It's definitely up there as one of my favorites, even if it isn't the tree we had all those years ago.

Your tree was my favorite.My children used to make popcorn and cranberry garlands for the tree.After Christmas my husband would take the tree to a small patch of woods near our house and leave it there for the birds and animals.The birds and squirrels had a Christmas tree.I love the smell of real trees.
