Whether you just moved to a new town, had a falling out with your group of friends, or everyone is busy, there are times when you're on your own and looking for something fun to do.You can still have fun on your own, even if going solo makes you a little self-conscious.There are some ways to have fun without friends.
Step 1: You can play computer or video games.
If you don't want to spend money, look for free games online.If you want to make friends while you're playing, try a multi-player online game.There are many different games that can keep you entertained for hours.If you meet someone online, don't give them too much information about yourself.People can use information against you.
Step 2: Try to cook in the kitchen.
It can be fun to cook when you have a spread of delicious, fresh ingredients and your favorite tunes playing.After searching online or watching a cooking show for a recipe that interests you, make a shopping list and get to work.You're not feeding a dinner party or a celebrity chef judge and there's no pressure for it to turn out amazing.You can eat the results when you're done.Baking and cooking will require knives and the oven or stove.Ask your parents to help you prepare your dish if they are okay with you using these things.
Step 3: Do something artistic.
If you want to get your creative juices going, take up painting, photography, writing poetry, pottery, scrapbooking.You can have total freedom of expression because you don't have to worry about anyone judging your skills.Your artwork can be entered in a contest.You could win money and meet other artists.
Step 4: You can treat yourself to a movie.
People often go to movies in groups, but there's no reason to talk or interact with anyone while you're watching a movie.If you go with a group, you will enjoy yourself just as much as you would if you were by yourself.If you buy a ticket for a matinee you can sneak into a second movie.Make sure you don't get caught!
Step 5: Take a class that interests you.
You can either do it online or sign up at a local community college.You might want to pursue a career in that subject because it is so interesting to you.You can learn to code and make your own app.You could make a very successful game.If you don't want to take an entire class, you can listen to podcasts on your favorite subjects and learn something else.
Step 6: Start writing about a topic that interests you.
Do you like movies?You can share your thoughts on your favorite movies, write reviews, and interact with other film lovers by starting a website.If you like photography, you should start a photo blog.It's a great way to meet people who share your interests and you can post about it.If you're a fashion junkie, you should post your outfit of the day, what's hot on the runway, and your favorite labels.If you want to stir things up, you can weigh in on your favorite sports teams and their performance this season, analyze trades and draft picks, or write about why your team is the greatest.

You can spend more time at each exhibit if you go to the museum alone.If you want to stare at a painting for 20 minutes, you don't have to worry about people trying to hurry you.You can go through the museum as fast or as slowly as you please.You can go to the museum on a free day.You can make your way through the entire museum with a membership.You may be invited to lectures or previews of new exhibits if you are a member.

Step 9: You can try parkour.
If you want to make the world your obstacle course, try to find the fastest route from Point A to Point B.It will improve your balance and teach you to make quick decisions if you jump, climb, and tumble.Before striking out, start out slowly so you don't hurt yourself and learn some basic moves.Start in the backyard or grassy area.
Step 10: You should go for a hike.
Going outdoors strengthens your immune system, promotes an active lifestyle, and encourages a positive attitude.Spending time in nature can make you feel peaceful.A long walk along a beautiful mountain path will help you realize that being on your own is okay.Let someone know where you are and when you will be back.If you get injured on a hike, your parents will know where to look.
Step 11: There is a fitness class that could be embarrassing.
These workouts are fun, but can be a little embarrassing if you don't follow the instructor.If you're surrounded by a bunch of strangers all trying to do the same thing, you won't feel conscious and can just focus on having fun and dancing your heart out.Another great workout is yoga.You can concentrate on your movements.If you go to a class, you are likely to be alone as well.If you don't want to go to the gym, you can do some fun workouts in your living room.
Step 12: A spa day is a great way to relax.
Give yourself a face mask, paint your nails and toenails, and drink some cucumber water.Try out some new makeup and figure out how to do a perfect cat eye.Allow yourself to relax and feel like royalty for a while.Ask your mom if she wants to treat you to a massage or mani-pedi.
Step 13: Remove your self-consciousness.
Most people are afraid to go out and do things on their own because they think other people will judge them or that they won't have fun with a group.Both of these things are not true.We underestimate how much we will enjoy an activity if we do it alone, and we underestimate the interest other people will have in what we're doing.Don't let solo flying stop you from experiencing things.If you go out and do something, you will be happier than staying at home.If you can't help but worry about what other people will think, remind yourself that it takes guts to do what you're about to.You're going to appear more confident if people see you enjoying yourself, shoulders back, not hiding that you are alone.If you run into people from school and you're afraid of what they will think, don't hide from them.If you went to see a movie alone, act like it's not a big deal.They probably wouldn't be brave enough to do what you're doing.
Step 14: Put your time to good use by volunteering and meeting people.
Put your skills to good use by getting involved with a cause you are passionate about.Habitat for Humanity is a good place to look if you're good with your hands.Walk dogs and play with kittens at a local shelter if you're good with animals.You can join a beach or forest clean up day if you're an environmentalist.You'll be having fun, saving the world, and meeting cool people all at the same time.Other possibilities include volunteering at a soup kitchen, visiting children and elderly people in the hospital, and spending time with kids at the Boys and Girls Club.Ask your church or political organization if they have any volunteer opportunities.
Step 15: People with similar interests are encouraged to sign up for a meet-up.
You have something in common with everyone there.You can go to one of their events if you search online for free meet ups in your area.You will get to do things that you love and make friends at the same time.If you're a student, check out the clubs your school has to offer.There may be a group for people who just don't feel like doing something on their own, like a movie in the park or visiting a theme park, and you can all go in a big group.
Step 16: Take a trip and explore.
Pick a nearby town, park, or attraction that looks weird or interesting, and make a list of your favorite songs.You should hit the road.You don't have to worry about anyone else's agenda because you can sing as loud as you want.The trip can be your own.A long drive is a good way to clear your head and relieve stress.It gets you out of the house at the same time while giving you time to think.If you can't drive or are too young to leave for another town on your own, your family may want to take an adventure with you.
