How To Format an iPod
Do you want to sell your iPod or just wipe it clean?The article will show you how to fix your iPod.
Step 1: You should have the newest version of iTunes.
This is version 10 (10.2.1 for Mac version) at the time of this writing.This can be found on Apple's website or at the bottom of the page.
Step 2: Attach your iPod to your computer with whatever means it uses.
Step 3: It's possible to open iTunes.
Step 4: You can click on the button in the sidebar.
Step 5: The summary tab is at the top.

Step 7: If you choose "Use Newest Version", you will be able to restore your iPod to the newest iPod software available.
Step 8: You should wait for the computer to restore the iPod.
