A handy way to hold small gifts is by folding a paper box into four small compartments. If you're comfortable with the method, you can make many for gift giving or display. The divider paper should be the same size as the box paper.
Step 1: A box can be folded.
Step 2: To make it appear as a diamond, place the other square of coloured paper in front of you.
The side that faces up now is the colour that will show in the end, if you have paper coloured on both sides.
Step 3: As shown, crease the paper vertically and horizontally.
Step 4: The paper should be turned over so that it appears as a square.
Step 5: It can be folded vertically and horizontally.
Step 6: The template square is used to divide the square into thirds.
There is a small square in the middle of the paper.
Step 7: The bottom edge needs to be folded up to meet the bottom one-third line.
Step 8: Go back and forth with the other three sides.
Step 9: Completely unfold.
Step 10: To meet the corners of the inner square, fold all four corners inwards.
Step 11: To meet the sides of the small square, fold all four sides inwards.
Step 12: The diagonal and horizontal fold lines should be folded up when you pick the paper up.
The triangle is known as the waterbomb-base.
Step 13: The new triangle should be pressed flat.
Step 14: The upper tip should be folded as far as possible.
Step 15: Push the upper layer upwards when you put your finger between the double layers.
The model becomes 3-D.
Step 16: The line runs down the center.
Step 17: If you pinch this line, it will fold upwards.
Step 18: Your model looks like the one on the photo if you smooth all the folds into their positions.
Step 19: You're done if you put it into your box that you folded earlier.
