Lifting off your head can be one of the problems with wigs. There are some simple solutions you can use to fix these issues. You may have what you need on hand.
Step 1: While it's on your head, put a bit of spiking glue under the edge of the closure.
The closing is at the front.Get a dime-sized amount of spiking glue on your finger and rub it under the wig's front part.Attach your part with glue on either side.Spiking glue can be used with wigs. You can find it at most drugstores. The closing glue will help keep it from lifting.
Step 2: After it dries for a few seconds, add another layer of spiking glue.
Once it feels tacky, apply another layer of glue. The holding spray can be sprayed under the edge of the closure.Just add a bit of water. It should be dry enough to be tacky.A type of spray that allows hair to move around is called holding spray. You can find it at most drugstores.
Step 3: Pressure should be applied to the front of the closure.
Press down on the front part of the wig to hold it in place. It's important to keep it in place for a short time.If you don't want to hold it in place with your hand, tie a silk scarf over the area.
Step 4: There is a spray where the wig meets your hair.
If you put one on, take the scarf off.If you want to catch the front of the closure and edges, spray the product right at the part.If you have hair hanging down in front of any part of the wig on your head, spray it with spray along the closure. It is important to pick a product that is clear. The spray on your head will keep it from moving back and forth.
Step 5: If you can't get it to stay, go to your hairdresser.
Your stylist can help fix it if it isn't installed perfectly. If you're not sure what to use, they can recommend the best glue.
Step 6: For a quick fix, try brushing eye shadow into your part.
Pick a color that matches your hair color. If you want to brush the wig on your head, you have to put a small brush in the eye shadow.Move the brush with the grain of the hair away from the part on either side.Continue filling in until the bald spot is gone.If you swirl the brush around, you can get it into the roots. It should blend in with the wig. When you're done, put the part in place. You may need to apply some under the bald spot if you take the wig off.
Step 7: For a more permanent fix, apply temporary hair dye.
There is a can of spray hair dye that matches the wig.It can be sprayed onto a piece of newspaper.Start at the middle and work your way out.Remove both sides of the part. The balding spot should be colored with the dye.You can try it with colored hair.
Step 8: The eyebrow pencil should be the same color as the eye shadow.
Move out towards the hair by drawing along the edge of the part.Try to fill in most of the balding spots with the eyebrow pencil, but leave a line along the middle. The closing of a wig is part of the problem. The wig won't look as thin if you color it in.
Step 9: To make it look more natural, add a line of concealer at the end.
The part will look the same after you add in your hair color. To make it look like your actual hair, use a small sponge to draw a line on the part of your hair you don't have. That will create light and dark areas.
