Step 2: Get to know what kind of music they like.
It's a great way to start a conversation.Asking what they like to listen to is the easiest way to find out.Ask them if they've heard a new song or attended a local concert.
Step 3: Look at their fashion.
It's easier to fit in with the cool kids if you don't look like them and have a unique fashion sense.They will make fun of you for copying the "cool" kid's clothing pieces.Shopping for similar clothes will make you a target.The cool kids dress like each other because they copied a celebrity.
Step 4: There is a small talk in the hall way.
You will learn more about the cool kids when you talk to them.You can talk in the hallway between classes if you want to.If they are with a group, walk with them.If you see a couple of kids by themselves, talk to them about their interests.Ask if they've heard about the theme.Tell them about your weekend.You have the same class.
Step 5: You can sit with them at lunch.
It's important to have lunch in school.It is one of the few times in the day where you can talk about anything for a while.Walk up and ask if you can sit with them.If nothing else, you can talk about the food.The food in the cafeteria is always open.
Step 6: Offer to have everyone over.
It's a good idea to have a hangout to get everyone together.It can be a study party for a big test, an evening hangout, or a spot to prepare for the game or dance.Before you invite a lot of people to your house, make sure you ask your parents.
Step 7: Show them you have a sense of humor.
The cool kids will find it easier to relate to you if you have a sense of humor.When they start asking you questions, answer in a funny way.It's possible to tell them about a good time you had that made them laugh.It should not be made inappropriate.This could lead to them being offended if you don't have a close relationship with them.

You won't fit in permanently if you go to a few games or sit with the cool kids once at lunch.If you want to continue fitting in, you need to keep doing these things.Do what you can with a loaded schedule.You can schedule a game once a week.It will help you fit in by taking a couple hours out of your schedule.
Step 10: Get to know them.
As a friend, never get too comfortable.Try to learn more about the cool kids so that you can keep talking to them.Continue to get to know them better if you don't get along at first.People take a while to warm up.Continue getting to know them and your opinion could change.
Step 11: Consistency is what you need to make consistent plans.
You should make a plan to keep hanging out after you put yourself out there.It is a good idea to have everyone over on the first Friday of every month for pizza and a movie.
Step 12: Let them know that they are important.
People want to be liked.It is human nature.Tell them if you like spending time with them.A great time to show your friendship is around a holiday.It is easy to write personalized cards for holidays like Halloween and New Years.
