Being a student is hard. You have to be in school every week, whether you like it or not.Whether you want to avoid running the mile in gym class, or you just want a break from monotony, some days you need to stay home. You have to convince your mom and dad that you want to go to school.faking a sickness will give them a reason not to debate, if they aren't the type to empathise with your personal reasons for staying at home.
Step 1: The night before, there was a slight stomachache.
You need to start laying the groundwork the evening before your sick day so that your parents are not caught off-guard the next morning. The illness illusion will be more convincing if you start talking about it at night.Don't get too carried away with it.They will probably suspect something if you dramatically wailing the night before.Just say a few words about nausea and you're good to go.
Step 2: Don't eat dinner.
Most people don't have much of an appetite when their stomach is upset.Pretend you aren't hungry to make your sickness convincing. If you don't plan ahead, you will be spending the night hungry and uncomfortable. You can eat food in your bedroom if you sneak it in.Don't act like you're trying to eat when your family sits down for dinner.Push your food around your plate and say that you are too sick to eat.
Step 3: Go to bed early.
You want to get into bed as soon as you can if you tell your parents you don't feel well. This is a convincing way to show your parents that you are sick, but they won't be able to attribute any of your symptoms to a lack of sleep. If you are not tired, go to bed.You can play on your cell phone or grab a book.
Step 4: Mentioning the event will make you feel worse.
You should not complain to your parents about the physical fitness test in the gym the next day.If they know that you won't be looking forward to school the next day, act as if everything is normal.
Step 5: If your parents know about it, act like you're not worried.
If they know you have a big test the next day, say something like, "I was pretty nervous for it, but I think I'm going to do well."If it's something other than a test, tell them that you're prepared and no longer worry about it.Your parents are less likely to suspect that you're trying to get out of it if you don't dread it.If you are planning on faking illness to get out of an exam or homework assignment, be careful. If you blow off studying or homework because you think you'll be able to stay home, you will be in big trouble with your parents.Just in case, study or complete the assignment. It's just a bonus if you end up faking sick and getting the extra day to avoid the test or assignment.
Step 6: Whiten your face with baby powder.
Your face is often discolored when you suffer from a stomach sickness.A small dusting of baby powder will make you look ill.To make sure you look washed out, lightly pat some of the powder onto your skin.If you have large makeup brushes, you can use a bit of power to apply it evenly to your entire face.A tissue can be used to rub over your skin if you don't have a brush. If you can avoid it, try not to get too close to your parents after brushing your face with baby powder. You don't want them to notice the scent, because it is unmistakable.
Step 7: Remove your hair.
You should embrace your bedhead and exaggerate the tangles. You toss and turn when you are sick.Your parents will think you had a restless night of sleep if you have messy hair. The sicker you are, the rougher you look. The overall image of sickness will be created by ugly hair.
Step 8: If you want to cover your face with a damp towel, rub some lotion on it.
The combination of the towel and the lotion will make your skin clammy. You don't want to look slimy if you have a stomach bug. It's important to give your skin that unpleasant moist that comes with many sicknesses.
Step 9: Your face should be somber.
You probably don't smile much when you're sick.Even if your sibling says something funny on TV, make sure you keep your facial expression calm. You can't let a smile or laugh give you away because you're supposed to be queasy and miserable.
Step 10: Make sure your body language is not offensive.
As if you are in pain, hold your stomach and hunch your back.Curl up into a ball when you lay down.If you have to walk slowly, do it as if you are weak.It is easy to tell someone you are sick, but you need to make sure your body language tells them. You might find yourself nodding off to sleep whenever you've been sitting or laying down for a long time.Pretend to be asleep when your parents pop their heads in to check on you.
Step 11: Tell us about your symptoms.
You should elaborate on what is wrong instead of just saying you have a stomachache. If you feel unwell, tell your parents.Decide if your fake illness consists of a dull pain or a fleeting spell. The more specific your illness is, the more realistic it will be.If you tell your parents what hurts, don't change it.When they ask what's wrong, be consistent.
Step 12: Show interest in going to school.
Say something like, "I know I should stay home, but I really want to be at school because..."Your parents will be less likely to suspect you are faking it if they think you don't want to stay at home. You can even go the extra mile and get dressed for school.
Step 13: If your parents don't believe you, stay calm.
Your parents will probably suspect that you're desperate to stay at home if you start getting worked up.Don't yell or throw a temper tantrum.Start going through the motions of getting ready for school. The more pathetic and sickly you act, the better!Hopefully they will pity you and see that you are struggling.Ask them if you can stay home if they don't let you.You don't think you can make it through the day if you look them in the eye.Pull their heartstrings.
Step 14: If your parents send you to school, you should go to the school nurse.
Wait at least an hour before going to the nurse's office. If you wait a bit, your parents will know that you tried to go to school but couldn't.If you want to use the same techniques on your teacher and nurse as your parents did, make sure you use them.As you speak to both your teacher and the nurse, hold your hand to your mouth and make sure you don't puke.No one wants to deal with a student who is vomiting. It's better to be safe than sorry. You will pay a second visit to the nurse if the school nurse sends you back to class. You will be sent home for good if you do that. It's a good idea to go to the bathroom multiple times.
Step 15: You should sneak your food.
Don't eat a big bowl of cereals or a bag of chips in front of your parents if you have a stomach bug.Take a few bites and then refuse the rest if they encourage you to eat.Tell them you have no appetite because you are too nauseated. If your parents leave you alone for the day, it's a good idea to discard any wrappers, dishes, or other evidence of eating. If your parents stay home with you, you should have some snacks in your bedroom. You can eat them throughout the day.
Step 16: Pretend to be sick in the bathroom.
If you are confident in your acting abilities, you can make vomiting noises in the bathroom while pouring a glass of water into the toilet.Don't risk it if you're not sure you can pull it off.If you want to complain of other gastrointestinal issues, spend a long time in the bathroom. If you want your parents to think you're faking it, you should spray some air freshener around the bathroom before you walk out to make it smell better.
Step 17: Allow your parents to pick you up from the doctor's office.
Only do this if they suggest it.Your parents will be suspicious of your illness if you insist that you don't need a doctor.Tell your doctor the same symptoms you told your parents.Don't say anything that could alarm the doctor.Tell them how you feel when you sit up or walk around, how tired you are, or that you have body ache.Everyone gets stomach bugs, and the doctor will most likely send you home with an order to rest.No one can prove that you don't feel sick, even if your doctor believes you are faking it.There is no test to determine if someone's stomach is upset.
Step 18: Stay in bed.
If one of your parents is staying with you, this step is important. You need to keep acting sick even though they have allowed you to stay at home.Don't head out to the driveway to shoot hoops or play a video game.Play a game, read a book, watch a show, or take a nap.Stay away from high-energy "sick day" activities.Don't start acting healthy if you've missed the whole day because it's past school hours. If your parents know that you faked being sick, they won't trust you in the future.
