You can learn how to fade one image on top of another.This effect can be achieved by adjusting the top image's opacity and using a gradient tool.
Step 1: Open the program.
The blue "Ps" on a square background is what the app icon looks like.
Step 2: Click on the file.
It can be found in the top left corner of the window or the screen.There is a drop-down menu.
Step 3: Select the script you want to use.
The drop-down menu has this near it.Clicking on it will prompt a pop-out menu.
Step 4: Load Files into Stack...
There is a pop-out menu.A new window opens.
Step 5: Click on it.
There is an option on the right side of the window.Clicking it opens a window where you can fade the images.
Step 6: There are two images to choose from.
Click the images you want to use if you hold down either Windows or Mac.
Step 7: Click Continue.
It is in the bottom-right corner of the window.The photos' names should be in the middle of the window.
Step 8: Click OK if you don't want to.
There is a window in the top-right corner.Both images will be opened as separate layers.Once the images are opened, you can change your image's opacity or gradient.
Step 9: You can fade the image to the top by moving it.
Click and drag the image you want to fade up to the top of the Layers window.
Step 10: You can select the image.
Click the top-most image in the "Layers" window to make sure it's selected.
Step 11: Click on the "Opacity" drop-down box.
There is a menu at the bottom of theLayers section.Doing so leads to a menu.
Step 12: The opacity should be lowered.
The top image's opacity can be lowered by dragging the sliders to the left in the drop-down menu.You should be able to see the bottom image through the top image when you drag the slider.You can change the percentage in the text box.Both 100% and 0% are completely transparent.
Step 13: Take a second to look at your image.
Your fade is complete if you have adjusted your top image's opacity to your liking.If you want to see what your image looks like before saving it, you should adjust the opacity gradually.
Step 14: The image should be moved to the top.
Click and drag the image you want to fade up to the top of the "Layers" window.
Step 15: You can select the image.
Click the top-most image in the "Layers" window to make sure it's selected.
Step 16: A layer mask can be added.
At the bottom of the "Layers" section, there is a "layer mask" icon that resembles a sphere.
Step 17: Select the tool that you want to use.
The square "Gradient" icon can be found in the left-hand toolbar.You can use the Q key.
Step 18: There is a black to transparent icon.
Click the black-and-white option in the "Preset" window to choose your style.
Step 19: Click OK if you don't want to.
There is a window in the upper-right corner.
Step 20: The gradient should be applied to the top image.
Double-check that the layer mask is selected before applying the gradient, then do the following: Click and drag from the point on the image where you want the fade effect to startPress and hold, then shift to a straight line to force your cursor to move.You want the fade effect to end.If there are unfaded parts of the image, repeat this process.
Step 21: The fade effect is reviewed.
Your fade effect will appear on the image when you release your mouse button.If you want to try again, you can press Cmd+Z.
