You can learn how to empty the trash on your computer, phone and iPad.Deleting the trash can take a few minutes if you have a good internet connection.Your Drive will be permanently deleted if you remove anything from the trash.
Step 1: Go to drive.google.com and log in.
You can use any web browser on your computer.If you have Backup and Sync setup for Mac or Windows, emptying your trash in your file manager will also wipe out any files in the trash on your computer.
Step 2: You can click Trash.
The vertical menu on the left side of the page has an icon of a trash can.
Step 3: Next to "Trash", click.
There is a menu at the top of your screen.
Step 4: You can click empty trash.
Everything will be deleted when a window pops up.Click to confirm your action.
Step 5: You can open the drive.
The app icon looks like a red, green, blue, and yellow triangle that you can find on one of your Home screens, in the app drawer, or by searching.Only individual files can be deleted in the mobile app.If you want to take everything out of your trashcan, you'll need to use a computer.
Step 6: You can tap.
There is a menu icon in the top left corner.
Step 7: Trash can be tapped.
There is an icon of a trash can next to this.
Step 8: Next to the file you want to remove, tap.
There is a menu at the bottom of the screen.
Step 9: Go to Delete forever.
The last option in the menu is next to a trash can with an "x" inside.When prompted, tap.
Step 10: Go to Google Drive.
You'll find a red, green, blue, and yellow triangle on one of your Home screens with this app icon.
Step 11: You can tap.
There is a menu icon in the top left corner of the screen.
Step 12: Trash can be tapped.
This is next to an icon of a trash can.
Step 13: You can tap.
The three-dot menu icon can be found in the top right corner of the screen.
Step 14: There is empty trash.
To remove a specific file, tap the three-dot menu icon next to the file's name.
