Different shades of the same color can be found in gradient nails, but instead of being similar, they are different colors. The transition will look murky if you use colors that don't go together. You can use a different technique to create a glitter gradient if you know the basics.
Step 1: You should trim, file, and clean your nails.
Attach a nail file to your nails and use nail clippers to trim them.To get rid of old polish, dirt, or oils, wipe each nail with nail polish remover.Push back your cuticles with an orange stick or a cuticle pusher.
Step 2: When mixed together, the 2 colors of flat nail polish look nice.
If you want the best results, choose 2 primary colors and a related secondary color. It's possible to do blue and yellow or pink and purple. The transition point where orange and blue blend together will turn out murky if contrasting colors are used. The best formula is a flat/crme one.Don't forget to keep color mixing in mind. The transition point is green if you use blue and yellow. The transition point will be brown if you use blue and orange. The colors should be tested on a piece of paper.Apply a stroke of each color, then blend them together with a toothpick.
Step 3: Allow the nail to dry before applying a clear base coat.
You can use a formula for brittle nails.Allow the base coat to dry before moving on.
Step 4: Let it dry after applying 1 coat of the lightest color.
This will allow the colors to show up better and serve as a base for your manicure.Start with the primary color if you are working with a secondary color. If you are using bright or neon nailpolish, apply a thin coat of white nail polish instead. This will make your colors show up better.
Step 5: Allow liquid latex to dry before applying it to your nails.
This technique can get messy if you don't have a barrier between your skin and the nail polish. The easiest product to use is liquid latex. You can try some school glue or something similar. You can buy liquid latex online, from well-stocked beauty supply stores, and from costume shops that sell makeup.
Step 6: Both nail polish colors can be applied to a makeup sponge.
You can brush on 3 rows or strokes of your first color.Right above it, brush on 3 rows or strokes of your second color.Make sure the colors overlap in the middle by using a generous amount. You will get a secondary color in the middle if you use primary colors. You will get green in the middle if you use blue and yellow. You will get a tertiary color in the middle if you use a primary and secondary color. You will get a purple- pink in the middle if you use pink and purple. You will get blue-green if you use blue and green.
Step 7: The sponge should be pressed against your nail.
A rolling motion is where you start at one side of your nail and finish on the other side.If you repeat this step 2 more times, you will get the sponge a little higher on your nail.Blending the colors together will be aided by this. It's possible that your second color won't show up very well. The next step will fix that. While the first coat is drying, do the rest of your nails.
Step 8: Before applying a second coat, let the nail polish dry.
If you can, use a fresh sponge. You can use the other side of the sponge if it hasn't been completely soaked through.Don't wait for the second coat to dry.The colors should be the same as on the first coat.If you did pink on top and purple on the bottom the first time, make sure you do it again.
Step 9: While the second layer is still wet, apply a clear top coat.
Applying the top coat while the gradient is still wet will help blend the colors together.A regular top coat can be used. The top coat should be extended over the top edge of your nail. This will help keep the polish from peeling or chipping. After the first coat dries, apply a second coat if your nail still feels rough.
Step 10: Let the rest of your nails dry.
Before applying the second layer, let the first dry. After applying the second gradient, brush on the top coat.Wait for the polish on your nails to dry.
Step 11: If you need to, remove the liquid latex and clean your nails.
The liquid latex or school glue can be removed with a pair of tweezers. You can wipe it off with a Q-tip.If you have nailpolish on your skin, you can use a brush to remove it.Synthetic or sable bristles are the best for this.Camelhair or stiff bristles are not a good choice for brushes.
Step 12: Cut, shape, and clean your nails.
Your nails should be trimmed with a pair of nail clippers. To shape them, use a nail file.wipe each nail clean after soaking a cotton ball with nail polish remover. If you have to, use an orange stick or a cuticle pusher.
Step 13: Let the base coat dry before brushing it over the nails.
This will help the nail polish adhere better. If your nails are brittle, use a base coat specifically formulated for brittle nails.
Step 14: Let it dry after applying 2 coats of your base color.
It can be a neutral color or a bold color, such as black.Flat colors will work better than metallic or shimmery ones; they will contrast better with the glitter and help it show up more. This step can be done for all of your nails. The first nail should be dry when you finish.
Step 15: Your first nail should be covered with a clear, glitter polish.
If you want a true gradient effect, apply the polish almost to the skin.Make sure you use a clear base on your nails. The base color should look nice with the glitter color. It will look great against anything. If you want to use a colored glitter, such as purple, it would be best to match it to the nail polish itself.
Step 16: Only a third of the way down, add another coat.
The same color of nailpolish can be used.Take the color from the tip of your nail to a third of the way down. This will build onto the nail polish that is already there. You should not extend the nail polish as much as you did on the previous layer.
Step 17: You can apply glitter polish to the tip of your nail.
The white part of your nail should be the same width as the area that you cover. You can use a chunkier glitter, but make sure it is the same color.Extending a few pieces of glitter further down your nail will help it look better.
Step 18: The rest of your nails should be done.
Apply 2 coats of your base color to each nail.Follow up with 2 coats of glitter polish.Go for a final coat of glitter polish on the tip.
Step 19: Finish off with a clear top coat.
If you don't use a glossy top coat, you will lose the sparkle from the glitter. If your nails still feel rough, apply a second coat of top coat. The top coat should be extended over the tips of your nails. This will help seal the deal.
Step 20: You can use nail polish remover to clean your nails.
If you accidentally put nail polish on your skin, you can wipe it off with a brush.Use a brush with sable or synthetic bristles; avoid brushes made out of stiff bristles or camelhair.
