You can learn how to convert a PowerPoint into a Slides using either a web browser or a mobile app.You will need to save a copy of your presentation to your local storage if you haven't already.
Step 1: Go to Google Drive.
The app icon looks like a blue, green, red, and yellow triangle that you'll find on one of your Home screens, or by searching.To use this method, you will need to have the Drive and Slides apps installed on your phone.If you don't have a mobile device, you can get the free apps from the App Store or the Play Store.
Step 2: The symbol is multicolored.
You can see it in the lower right corner.
Step 3: Go to Upload.
The first row of icons has an arrow pointing up from an open-sided box.
Step 4: If you want to download the PowerPoint file, tap it.
Depending on your internet connection and the size of the file, it may take a while for it to be uploaded to your drive.You will need to convert your PowerPoint to another format.
Step 5: You can tap.
To the right of your document name is the three-dot menu icon.
Step 6: You can open it with a tap.
It's usually located in the menu.
Step 7: Go to the Slides section of the internet giant's website.
If you don't have Slides installed on your phone, you may be asked to download and install it now.If not, the PowerPoint will open in Slides.
Step 8: You can tap.
This is in the top right corner of the screen.
Step 9: Next to "Office Compatibility Mode" is a question mark.
Under the name of your PowerPoint, it's in yellow.
Step 10: You can save as a Slides.
There is a button at the bottom of the screen that explains Office Compatibility Mode.If that's what you're asked to do, select a Google account.You will be able to convert your PowerPoint to a Slides document.
Step 11: In a web browser, go to https://drive.google.com/drive/my-drive
You can use any web browser to access your Drive and convert your presentation into Slides.If you are prompted, log in.
Step 12: You can click new.
The upper left corner of your screen has a multicolored plus symbol.
Step 13: Click on the file you want to upload.
The second option in the drop-down menu will open your file manager.
Step 14: Click on the file you want to navigate to.
It's still a.ppt format and will need to be converted if you want to use this action.
Step 15: Click the file to open it.
To find your uploaded document, you might need to navigate to the "Recents" tab on the left side of the screen.
Step 16: Open with and Slides.
There is a white center near the middle of the menu next to a yellow square icon.
Step 17: Click the file to open it.
There is an editing space on the left side of the screen.
Step 18: Click Save to save the presentation.
It's near the middle of the menu and you can click it to convert your PowerPoint to Slides.
Step 19: In a web browser, go to https://docs.google.com/presentation/u/0/.
You can convert PowerPoint to Slides with any web browser.If prompted, log in.
Step 20: Click the pencil icon if you mouse over the multicolored plus symbol.
There are icons in the lower right corner of your screen that you can use to create a new Slides from a blank document.
Step 21: Click on the file.
There is an editing space on the left side of the screen.
Step 22: Click Import Slides if you want to import them.
This option is in the second group of menu options and will open a new window.
Step 23: Select a file from your device after you click the Upload tab.
The outlined box in the tab allows you to drag and drop your PowerPoint file.
Step 24: Click on the file to open it.
After uploading the file, you'll see a preview of the conversion and be able to choose any slides that you want.
Step 25: Select the slides you want to convert from PowerPoint to Slides.
On the right side of the page you can click.You can keep track of what you've picked with the highlighted slides.
Step 26: Click on the Import slides.
The yellow button is located at the bottom of the window.
