How To Change the Default Installation Location on Windows 10
The default installation location is the C drive.It will use up your computer's storage if you install anything there.If you want, you can install Windows Store apps on an external hard drive.You will learn how to make the switch.
Step 1: You can go to the settings panel.
To open the Start menu, click on the Windows icon and hit the settings gear icon from the left side.To launch the settings panel, press Win+I.
Step 2: Click on the settings.
It is the first option with a laptop icon.
Step 3: From the left panel, select the Storage option.
There are six options in there.
Step 4: You can navigate to the more storage settings section.
Under the More storage settings title, you can click on the option.
Step 5: You can save a drive from the New apps.
Choose a drive from the list and click on the This PC (C:) box.If you want to install new apps in the future, make sure your drive has enough storage.
Step 6: You can save your changes by clicking the Apply button.
