You can learn how to replace old printer ink with new ones.It's pretty easy to remove and install new printers in all of them.Remove the old ones and install the new ones to prevent the nozzles from drying out.
Step 1: Turn on your printer.
Make sure your printer is connected to a power source.
Step 2: The printer cover needs to be opened.
Inside the printer cover, you'll find the print head and ink unit.You may need to lift the entire unit if you're using a printer with an integrated scanner unit.Lift the whole unit, not just the cover, in this case.
Step 3: You can check the screen on your printer.
If your printer has an LCD screen, you can see a message on it when it's low.You will need to select the one you want to replace if your Cartridges are low.If you want to replace a cartridge before you see a message, open the menu and select.
Step 4: The print head should stop at the replacement position.
The replacement position is where the print head will stop.To move the print head to the replacement position, you may have to press and hold the maintenance button.The button will look like a paper sheet or an upside down triangle.Don't move the print head by head.This may cause damage to your printer.
Step 5: The cover should be opened if applicable.
There is a plastic cover around the print head.In this case, you need to open the cartridge to get your ink.
Step 6: The back of the cartridge has a tab on it.
There is a tab on the back of each cartridge.It will allow you to remove the print head.
Step 7: The cartridge needs to be removed straight up.
The tab on the back needs to be squeezed to remove it from the print head.It will slide out without a hitch.
Step 8: Before opening the package, shake the new cartridges.
If you want to open the new package, be sure to shake it four or five times.
Step 9: The package needs to be emptied of the new cartridge.
Carefully remove the new cartridge if you want to open it.
Step 10: The yellow tape has to be removed.
There is yellow tape on your new ink.The tape needs to be removed before you can put the printer's cartridge in it.The yellow tape may be on the back, side, top or bottom of the printer.Don't remove the seals or labels from the cartridge.This can cause ink to leak.
Step 11: The holder has a new cartridge in it.
Push the empty cartridge down until it clicks into the print head.
Step 12: The printer cover has to be closed.
Close the printer cover when you're done with the installation.The print head will move to its home position.If you have a separate cover for your printer, make sure to close it.To close the printer cover, you'll need to lower the entire scanner unit.
Step 13: The maintenance button is optional.
To complete the replacement process on some models, you will need to press the maintenance button.The maintenance button is similar to a paper sheet or a triangle in a circle.You may have to select on the printer's screen.
