Using Windows or Mac, you can learn how to increase your microphone's input volume.
Step 1: Click on the speaker icon to find it.
The date and time information can be found in the lower-right corner of your desktop.A menu will appear.
Step 2: Recording devices can be found on the menu.
You can open a new window and see a list of all the audio input hardware on your computer.
Step 3: The Recording list has a microphone on it.
Click on the microphone you want to use to find it.
Step 4: Click on the button.
The Sound window has a button in it.It will open your microphone's settings in a new window.
Step 5: You can click on the Levels tab.
There is a button at the top of the window.
Step 6: The microphone boost is on the right.
This will increase the input volume of your microphone.The amount of boost you're adding is visible to the right of the sliders.
Step 7: Click the OK button if you want to proceed.
This will close the microphone window and save your new microphone settings.
Step 8: The sound window has a button in it.
This will close the Sound window and save your new audio settings.
Step 9: You can click the Apple icon on the menu bar.
The upper- left corner of your screen has an Apple icon.A drop-down menu will open.
Step 10: System preferences can be found on the menu.
This will open your preferences in a new window.
Step 11: Sound can be found in System Preferences.
The option looks like a speaker.You can open your computer's audio settings.
Step 12: Click on the tab that says Input.
There is a button next to the Sound window.
Step 13: You can use the Input menu to select your microphone.
You can see a list of all the audio input devices on your computer.Click on the microphone's name to find it.
Step 14: The input volume can be moved to the right.
This will make the microphone's audio input louder.If your microphone's input is boosted, you can speak to it and check the Input level indicator here.
