You can learn how to block email addresses in Yahoo Mail.You can block addresses on the website version of Yahoo, but not the mobile app version.You can't do anything to stop Yahoo from showing videos in your inbox, sending promotional emails to you, and displaying ads.
Step 1: When blocking works, understand.
If you receive emails from the same sender multiple times, you can block them from your inbox.If you're trying to block a service that uses different email addresses, try disabling it on your computer or mobile device.
Step 2: You can open your Yahoo inbox.
Go to email.yahoo.com in your browser.If you are a member of Yahoo, this will open your inbox.If you don't have a Yahoo account, you need to enter your email address and password.
Step 3: If it's necessary, switch to the new Yahoo view.
You need to click the blue link in the bottom left corner of the page if you're still using the old Yahoo interface.If you are using the new Yahoo view, skip this step.
Step 4: The email should be opened.
Click on the email to open it.
Step 5: The email's address should be copied.
You can see the sender's name and email address in the upper- left corner of the email.If you want to copy the email address, you have to click and drag your mouse across it.The email address should not have brackets in it.
Step 6: Click on the settings you want to modify.
The inbox is in the upper-right side.A menu will appear.
Step 7: Click more settings.
There is an option at the bottom of the menu.The settings window will be open.
Step 8: You can click the Security and Privacy tab.
It is on the left side of the page.
Step 9: Click and add.
The "Blocked addresses" heading in the middle of the section is the right option.
Step 10: The email address will be entered.
To paste the email address into the text field, click the "Address" button, then press "Command+V" or "Windows"
Step 11: Click it to save.
The button is below the email address.Adding the address to your blocked list will prevent future emails from reaching your inbox.
Step 12: Go to your Yahoo inbox.
Go to email.yahoo.com in your browser.If you're a member of Yahoo, this will open your inbox.When prompted, enter your email address and password.
Step 13: If it's necessary, switch to the new Yahoo view.
You need to click the blue link in the bottom- left corner of the page if you're still using the old Yahoo interface.If you're using the new Yahoo view, skip this step.
Step 14: You can select the emails you want tounsubscribe from.
You can click the left button to mark the email as junk.
Step 15: Click it if you don't want to hear about it.
There is a tab near the top of the page.The selected emails are moved to the Spam folder.
Step 16: You can select the folder.
The option is on the left side of the inbox page.The trash can icon should appear.
Step 17: You can click on the "Trash" icon.
It is to the right of the option.
Step 18: When prompted, click OK.
A pop-up window has a blue button in it.Yahoo will attempt to move future similar emails to theSpam folder if you choose to have them.
Step 19: Go to Yahoo Mail.
The Yahoo Mail app icon looks like a white envelope on a purple background.If you log into your Yahoo account, this will open your inbox.If you don't have a password, enter your email address.You may have to select an account if you have more than one account.
Step 20: You can select the emails that you want tounsubscribe from.
If you want to mark an email as junk, tap it and hold it until a checkmark appears to the right of the email.
Step 21: You can tap.
It is in the bottom right corner of the screen.A menu will appear.Don't do this step on the phone.
Step 22: Mark can be tapped as a nuisance.
There is an option at the top of the pop-up menu.The selected emails will be put into a folder.The shield icon will be at the bottom of the screen.
Step 23: You can tap.
It is in the left corner of the screen.A menu will appear.
Step 24: The trash icon is next to Spam.
Near the middle of the menu is where you'll find this option.
