How To Associate File Types on Windows
You can learn how to control which Windows applications open which file types.by default
Step 1: Press Win+S.
The search bar is opened by this.
Step 2: There is a control panel.
There will be a list of suggested results.
Step 3: Click the control panel.
A list of system settings can be opened.
Step 4: You can type the file into the box.
The Control Panel window has it at the top-right corner.There is a list of suggested results.
Step 5: Change the file type associated with a file extension.
It is under the file explorer options.There is a list of known file extensions.
Step 6: You can associate the extension with an app.
Extensions are the last letters of a file name.There are two types of files: a.docx, and a.txt.
Step 7: Click the program to change it.
There is a button at the top-right corner of the list.
Step 8: You can click on an app.
Click to view more if you don't see the right app.
Step 9: Click OK if you don't want to.
The selected extension will open files in this app.If you want to adjust any other file extensions, repeat this process.
