Are you fighting a computer virus or a program that won't uninstall itself? It is possible to load Windows with only the basic files that are needed. This mode will allow you to perform a lot of tasks that are difficult to do in a normal Windows session. You can load Safe Mode even if you can't load Windows normally. You can see Step 1 below.
Step 1: Determine if you need to use Safe Mode.
Safe Mode only allows the most essential files to load.Anything that is not required to boot the operating system isn't loaded. If you're having trouble with your computer's boot up, try to restart it in Safe Mode.
Step 2: All disks need to be removed from the computer.
This includes everything from CDs to floppy disks. When you restart your computer, this will prevent them from trying to boot.
Step 3: The computer needs to be in Safe Mode.
There are two different ways to boot into Safe Mode.If you want to quickly load the Advanced Startup menu, you can hit the F8 key. When you can't load Windows, the first option is useful, while the second is more useful if you already have access to it.Press the "F8" key to restart your computer. The Windows splash screen has a black screen with the Windows logo.If the splash screen appears, you will need to restart the computer. The second option is to boot into Safe Mode from Windows. To do this, open the Run dialog and type msconfig. The System Configuration box will be opened by this.Go to the boot tab and check the safe boot box.You can choose what kind of Safe Mode you want to use.The most common choices will be networking and minimal.
Step 4: The type of safe mode you want to run is up to you.
You will be taken to the "Advanced Boot Options" screen after hitting F8.There are three different ways to load Safe Mode. You won't see this menu if you set Windows to boot directly to Safe Mode.If you don't know what you should do, Safe Mode is the best option. This option will make it easy to boot Windows 7.You will not be able to use the internet. When setting Windows to boot to Safe Mode, there is a "Minimal" option. This option loads all of the drivers and files that the first option does, but also loads any processes that are needed to allow networking. If you think you will need to get on the internet or your local network, choose this option.Safe Mode with Command Prompt gives you immediate access to the command prompt and loads the same processes as the first option. The option is suited for advanced users who need to do a lot of work from the command line. The graphical environment won't be loaded.
Step 5: Wait for the necessary files to load.
Every file will be shown on the next screen.Unless the files do not load correctly, you don't need to do anything. If the screen goes blank at this point, make a note of the last file that successfully loaded and then use the internet to find out how to fix it.
Step 6: Go to Windows 7.
Log in to an account with administrator privileges when the login screen appears. If you only have one user account on your computer, it is likely that you have administrator privileges. If you only have one account and no password, you will most likely log in automatically.
Step 7: Start working on the problem.
"Safe Mode" will be written in all four corners of the screen if your computer is in Safe Mode. It's a great place to uninstall troublesome programs and run virus and malware scans.Reboot your computer when you are done in Safe Mode.If you set your computer to boot into Safe Mode through the System Configuration box, you will need to open it again if you want to use the safe boot option. When your computer restarts, it will continue to boot into Safe Mode.
